Great place! Very tasty food with friendly owner! We can definitly recommend cooking class, very tasty expierience!
Delicious food and drinks. The staff speak serviceable English and are very nice. It was so good, I went back there twice!
Great location and crowd. Pricing was reasonable. However the food was not as awesome as raved about. Pork curry was so tough I had to use a knife to cut through the meat. Vegetables that came with the grilled fish were absolutely raw. Good to try at least once but probably wouldn’t come back again.
Delicious food and great service. Can completely eat and drink with a peace of mind that it's safe. We ordered their Traditional fish curry and the avocado and cucumber salad special and both were fantastic!
Good Burmese, Thai and western food at a reasonable price. Service was fast. We ate there twice. They had good soup and curry there. The tea leaf salad was quite memorable.
I came here based on the reviews as I was looking for good authentic local food. The flavors of the many dishes (I had dinner and then took their cooking class the next morning) were substantial without being too oily or heavy. The chef was born in Bagan and together with her husband, they operate both the Bibo and The Baron Cafe. The cooking classes are actually at The Baron which is a plus if you are looking for an espresso. As others have noted, both of them speak really good English and the time at their restaurants really felt like you were being invited in their home; their daughter seems to have the discerning sophisticated palate for only being three. If you are looking to be exposed to the local culture and cuisine, this is time (and money) well spent and probably the most memorable part of my few days here. Advice if you take the cooking class, don't eat breakfast as you make enough food to feed a family.
We had dinner at Bibo twice during our visit of Bagan. This restaurant is very easy to find and the food is great. We tried all the salads ( typical Burmese salads such as tea leave salad, avocado salad and star bean salad) and also several soups and curries. The people there are super friendly and the place is quiet. Definitely worth a visit.
Typical touristic restaurant. Prices a bit higher than standard. Food average, though avocado salad was nice and portion was quite big. Waiting time very long - 35 minutes for a salad and soup. While we were waiting other group was waiting for 1,5 hour already. Nice atmosphere to sit and spend some time with friends. Just allow some time for preparation of your meal.
Nice place, loved the Bagan style curry pork - they use this local special black bean paste, which gives it a special taste.
Fruit juices are nice & fresh. Went back twice.
Staff is friendly and professional.
We asked our hotel where locals eat.. And Bibo was the straight answer. Food was very tasty. The place has great cocktails and a happy hour. Staff was particularly nice.
Very nice foods & sincere service in the humble & comfort place. I've chosen Burmese beef curry which has taken my heart away. I loved it. We've got jasmine tea as complementary from the owner. Really thankful for that. ❤️
The food is delicious, make sure to order the fish curry with Tamarind sauce. The coconut rice with chicken was also fantastic!
The people who work there are great, they set up a fan for us as soon as we say down and were attentive and pleasant. I would say this was one of my favorite places to eat in Burma!
Food is delicious. Service and location are great. I would recommend trying the curry or their specials.
Juices are also freshly made. For those with an appetite, order a soup!
There're many varian of foods such as Thai food, Myanmar food, Health Grill, Soup, Burger & Sandwich. We ordered Bibo Style Sweet Pork, Fisherman Soup, Tom Kha Gaiand the tastes are really good 👍
Great prices, food is really good and they don't have 50000 things on the menu.
Avocado tomato salad was tasty. But I don't recommend this place, there was flies everywhere, staff had poor english, they couldn't make watermelon juice without sugar, really bad service
Might be the best meal I've had in the country. The food was delicious and the prices were fair, but the service left a bit to be desired. Well worth it though.
The chicken curry, bean burger and avocado salad were all excellent. Well worth a visit. Inexpensive.
Not sure how this has such high marks. Food was okay but the service was terrible and the ambiance was dull. Definitely tourist-driven because my cocktail came without ice (warm mojito!) and the chicken curry was so overcooked that it felt rubbery. Had to ask for the bill several times before we could leave. Expected better based on the reviews.
