The room I had was tiny and bit depressing on the grey rainy season- I should have asked to change but it was clean. Mind you the sheets were not clean so they changed without any issue. The breakfasts were not great and no chance of a decent coffee. However we ate in the restaurant, once for lunch and 3 times for dinner and the food was excellent. Worth 4 stars.

Very much cozy and clean with reasonable rate.You can enjoy the downtown of Pyapon while staying at Aung Naing Thu Hotel . You can find the famous Thar Si Pagoda ,Chinese Temple is near by and not so far to STK restaurant and night market.I visited there for two times per two night stopped at this last December .
The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the staff helpful and the breakfast was good with a nice view of the city and river view. Service also good.and I thought it was a nice hotel in this town.

NOT a good hotel for FOREIGNERS. Unlike most other hotels in Myanmar they charge not per room but per person! Meaning for a normal room you pay double the price if you stay with two people. Unfortunately this seems to be the rule in most places in the district Pyapon and also the reason why no tourists come here. We are happy to pay a bit more but not ridiculous 50.000 MMK for a very simple and not even clean room.

Unfortunately this seems to be the rule in most places in the south and also the reason why no tourists come here. We are happy to pay a bit more but not ridiculous 50.000 MMK for a very simple room. If you are not part of a rich NGO who does not care for such expenses you should look for some smaller cheaper hotels
