Quite remote hotel next to a couple of larger hotels - namely the Novotel and Sanctum.
40,000 kyat by taxi to the hotel from Heho Airport.
USD10 charge to enter the area - the taxi driver to take you to the stall where you have to buy the USD10 pass/permit.
Taxi charge is 30,000 from the hotel to the airport when using the same driver (hotel charges 38,000 each way including taxes).
It was 25,000 kyat to Nyaungshwe - the nearest town - all the taxi drivers stuck to these prices.
Rooms were large - large comfy bed.
I'm not sure why hotels have a window that opens to the room/sleeping area. It didn't have glass but did have wooden shutters - these didn't prevent noises coming from the bathroom! So you can hear everything that's happening in the bathroom.
If you want a couple of quiet nights to disconnect from the world then this would be a good place for you. Otherwise it is a bit isolated - 12km and 20,000 kyat return taxi fare from town. The Novotel next door does have an alternative restaurant if you fancy a change from the Ananta restaurant.
Free mountain bikes available to hire - the roads are were very dusty - so bring a face mask if you require.
10 min bike ride away from the wooden bridge in Maing Thauk.
Has a pool and it's own jetty so it's easy for you hire a boat for Inle Lake. 22,000 kyat + taxes for the boat hire from the hotel.
