Marvelous museum made all the better by the excellent guided tour. If there are more than 7 of you get the special entry price of 120 dinars per person. A must see in Skopje

The museum is very interesting from the outside.Inside it is forbidden to photograph , and the lighting is very dim . What bothered me is that many of the artifacts seem too new and extremely well preserved (especially coins) - something which is not typical for things 2,000 years old. On the other hand all the exhibits were very well described in English and Macedonian languages.

All the History of the macedonian kings from bronze Age, Coins from old times and more paintings are presented in those 3 Floors in the Museum. One can spend 1-3 hours in that Museum. Located very Close to Alexander Statue Next to stone bridge

Quite a dissappointment. As all of the "ancient new" elements of Skopje, even this museum -the building, exposition, feeling-nakes the fake and artificial impression. Its okay if its raining, but if it isnt, have some trileche instead.

Really nice building and with to see the interior as well. You can see the history of Macedonia from numismatism to pottery and few wax figures of kings. Worth to see in cold weather. Down side is that dataprojectors for 180 screen were off which I assume would be perfect to be on for spectacular view.

A must see in Skopje. A huge display of ancient artifacts. A variaty of tools and art, and a huge coin collection. A numismatic treat. Quite impressive!

Items showcased cover a period of Macedonian history from prehistory to the Middle Ages.Their coins collection is simply the best I have ever seen. Nice building,excellent use of lights.Your visit will take anywhere between 1 and 2hrs.300 Dinar entry for adult.

A well organised and modern feeling archeological Museum. Nice inclusion of wax works of people from various periods in Macedonian history. There is even a copy of Alexander The Greats sarcophagus!

All the items may be nice of course but speak about Makedonians not Slavians. The majority of people in FYROM are slavians or albanians. Slavians as in Bulgaria, Romanias came to the area in 5th-6th century and has nothing to do with ancient Makedonians. Guys good to show such items but don't afraid to respect your true roots.. It is sad.

Really amazing place and worth to see. Exhibitions can tell a lot about Macedonian history. Price is good. Not working on Mondays. Great inside design.

Very very disappointed and frustrated as I have done 2 rounds going up and down the Old Bazar to find it. After asking at that 5 star hitel located nearby, I discovered it's in front on the hotel itself! There are signs indicating the museum on the street but not on the building itself, so you literally cannot identify it! On top of it it looks like a normal old building , so hard to spot! I gave up and didn't go inside out of frustration. Got hungry and it closed by the time I finished my meal.

Very nice and modern museum. Big collection, especially the ancient jewelry is marvelous. Sometimes more context of how objects were made and used would be nice. Price is 300D for adults.
