Staying here now on a Gate 1 your, and have to say with out a doubt that this place is a real dump. Definitely not a 4 star hotel as suggested by Gate1. The room that we have is nasty and doesn't feel clean. Can't wait to leave. Stay somewhere else!!

Belvedere hotel is located next to lake of ohrid. Good furniture and clean rooms. Dinner and breakfast is delicious. When you go there just say hello to GABRİELA. See you next time

Excellent service, excellent Wi-Fi coverage with good Internet connection. The food is good. Minor defects in the rooms are possible (a power socket in my room was not working). The place is warm and well equipped but I personally feel as not having enough room in the lobby and hallways, feels like there are too many items. It's very clean and, the personnel is very friendly and professional.

This is the worst hotel I've stayed in the Balkans so far. The rooms are extremely outdated, dusty, dirty, the air conditioner barely works, and the service is not so good. They need to remodel this hotel badly. If I could give half a star I would.

If you would like to have a good night sleep, before you book check if there are groups of tourists staying for one night or organized seminar. During our two day stay we were woken at 3am-4am by these "guests" literaly screaming in the hotel coridors.

A nice hotel with good view of lake Ohrid, especially sunset hour. The hotel is cosy and comfortable and the staff are friendly. Meals are good.

This hotel is nice to stay, but don't expect a lot. The staff is very friendly and the free WiFi is great (Netflix was working!). The food in the restaurant is fine, but I would advice to grab a taxi (€ 3,-) to the city center. Because of the bright lights the atmosphere isn't very cosy in the evening.
There are two options for the rooms: view of the lake or mountain view. If you are having the last one, you will never see the sun out of your windows. If you are having a room on the front of the hotel you will see the lake of Ohrid. At least, if you are on the 3rd or 4th floor. Otherwise the trees next to the highway will block your view.
Want to go to the lake for a lazy day? Take a cab to the Cuba Libre bar. The 'beach' in front of the hotel is VERY crowded and small.response / report this review -

The Hotel is fairly good, considering the prices. The food is kind of nasty, but overall a great place to stay when in Ohrid.
