5 min walk by bus station and train station. Mini supermarket nearby. Friendly staff. Appropriate privacy.

It's located in a rundown area next to the coach station. It was clean apart from a dead cockroach and a weird smell in one of the bathrooms.

I only stayed one night. I arrived late from the airport. I had trouble deciding which door to enter from the outside. But I did find the place.
I had emailed ahead of time and the host/owner was made aware and agreed to my late arrival. Still I waited after ringing the bell almost 10 minute, ringing it several more times. Thits is a long wait when yooure exhausted from traveling.
The host was kind but a bit awkward.
The hostel was very clean. You are required to remove your shoes upon entry, whliych i felt was ratger strange for a hostel but whatever. The beds are VERY firm which is fine for me but I imagine others having an issue with it. The pillows on the beds are the worst pillows I've ever had in my life and instead threw it to the foot of the bed. I didn't use the shower facilities, as I just got on a bus home in the morning but there are 2 bathrooms.
First hostel in the Balkans I've been to that doesn't provide a simple breakfast and coffee!!
This place wasn't for me. I won't stay againbut it is a very good price, next to the bus station, and a 10 minute walk from the center.response / report this review -

Dont be scared from first look from outside but from the inside it is very nice and clean :) with perfect position to bus station!!

Beautiful and quiet place near bus station, excellent beds, owenr shows hospitality, and will explain everything you are interested of. Recommended.

I only stayed for one night but it felt like home! Nicolette made some great coffee, there was a very relaxed atmosphere, rooms were quite clean, smoke area present as well. I will miss this modest place!

awesome place! the lady who runs it is really nice and caring, staying here made my time in Skopje soo much better :) plus really convenient place to stay if you plan to catch the night train to Belgrade

I am not one who gushes praise everywhere ( in fact I didn't like Skopje) but I have to say this hostel is great! Nicoletta is a dream: she is a kindly, welcoming and helpful person. The hostel is very clean and inviting inside the curtains by the beds give you privacy. The price is good value for ( a small amount of) money. So don't be put off by the drab looking exterior of the building , come in and stay at a really good place. Of course, guests must follow rules, without such the hostel could not operate as the top notch place it is. Thank you Nicoletta ( sorry I am not sure how you spell your name) and Valentin! Oh, I should mention the hostel is located within a short walking distance to the train station and within walking distance to shopping. I also walked downtown a longer walk but OK if the weather is nice.

The owner is wonderful and everything about this place is comforting and invitingand the rates are still cheap! Highly recommended for backpackers and world travelers. Conveniently located next to the bus and train station as well.
