Love this beach, when we were here several years ago, thought, they need a beach. Next time, to our surprise, a reasonable bar on the the beach.
Located on my favorite beach. They serve refreshing drinks at a resonable price.
Didn't really go to the bar, just had some food. The staff is pretty friendly and even though we brought our cooler with own drinks, they were super friendly and offered us to eat there. There was a guy looking after all cars at the parking, good feeling when you are in such a lonely place.
Absolutely one of the best beaches on the island. Great water, chairs, food, drinks, Chez Raymond, awesome!
Low key place on a beautiful beach serving cheap drinks and food.
Went here with my friends for the beach and some of them ordered food. We rented one set of beach chairs ($15). The portions are good--but I guess there is not wait-service because I had to help my friend run for her food to pay at the counter. I took a quick bite and the sandwich she ordered was good. Her fish sandwich was $10 if that helps anyone in terms of pricing. As for the Baie Rouge beach, the water is warm and we noticed that the shore quickly dipped down so it is great for swimmers.
What a great find! Not only is the food excellent and well priced, but the drinks are good. The sand on this beach, Baie Rouge, is the best on the entire island of St. Martin!
Amazing beach the best on the island. Very quite and water amazing there. Food very good and price very low
Get a burger and put your toes in the sand while you eat it! Best thing on earth!
Baie Rouge was the best beach for us. The surf was fantastic, we body surfed for hours, and if you happen to traveling with teenagers, mostly covered tops. We rented 4 loungers for $40 and 2 sets of snorkeling gear for $20. Absolutely enjoyed ourselves on the beach. Gus' was a little daunting at first (it looks like a Jamaican jerk chicken beach shack) but the food was fantastic! I highly recommend the Chicken and Ribs. Wow. No wonder Anthony Bourdoin visited Gus.
This beach bar serves delicious, classic Caribbean ribs. It was even reviewed by Anthony Bourdain as having the BEST ribs on the island.
The service is great and the pieces are good. This place is really worth a visit.
I'm really not sure if I loved the food at Gus's or playing in the surf more (I know what my daughter's opinion is - it's all the surf) but it was an amazing, fun afternoon in the sun and the food at Gus's was *fantastic* and local
Great little beach in St Maarten. They have Chairs and umbrellas available for rent for $20. It is kind of hard to find from the main road and the signage is not very good. The entrance looks like you are heading into a gated community. The food and drinks were good. The whole Beach is referred to as Baie Rouge but Gus's is the only place with food and drink. Get there early as the small parking lot fills up quick!
