Prestigious place to visit of course. Unfortunately, most of fish tanks are quite small. There is a turtle in the shark tank, she seems bored out of her mind. The sharks are looking for an exit it seems. These animals need to be released asap!

Very much enjoyed our walk around the museum. Was super quiet and it took us 2 hours to get around it. It was small and very open yet still a lot of small things to see and the aquarium was super clean and the lighting within the room was perfect, very calming. Will certainly visit again if ever in Monaco and would recommend to people who are staying in Monaco/Nice. Entrance fee is 14 Euro.

This was the place that I would go first once I visit this remarkable place . This is one of the best museums around the word. This famous oceanographic museum was founded by Mr Jacques-Yves Cousteau. One of the most beautiful museum in the world. You can find so much species of fish, sharks and etc. A must for anyone who visits Monaco. It's also one of the biggest research center in oceanography in the world. It's wonderful for adults and children.

Great place to spend half a day with the kids. The museum itself is small, but it boasts a massive sharks aquarium and has a great playground for the kids on the rooftop with great views of monaco. There's also a coffee/restaurant on the top, great for a quick lunch . The building's architecture is quite unique in the sense that it was built on the rock with one of its facade towering over the cliff some 85 meters above sea level.

We were told not to miss this oceanographic museum and so we did not. Surely, we have found some interesting species to admire which we never saw before but except for that I would say my expectations were a bit different since I would have thought to find a wider aquarium and many more animals to "behold".
The last two floors are interesting to visit either for the fossils and for the view of the city of Monaco, very lovely.

Parking is okay if you don't go during a really busy time (entrance is before the museum underground). The museum is we'll set up but I can't help thinking that some of the fish tanks are extremely small (especially for the flat fish). Good information at each stand. Wheelchair and pram access is not good at all. There are elevators however you still need to make your way up/down a flight of stairs to get anywhere.

A fun aquarium, not large but lots to see downstairs. Upstairs a little dryer but still interesting. For 14Eur it's a bit if a bargain and can be done in an hour and a bit. Well worth it.

Watch out for parents who can't control kids and adults who are still amazed by smart phones pushing them up against the glass for fish videos they'll never watch again!

Space and exhibitions are lovely. But crazy story: we parked and locked our bikes out of the way along a back staircase. On return the seats were missing the museum people claimed they knew nothing until we came with the police, and only then they admitted to stealing our seats to "teach us a lesson". Weird and sad to treat guests like this.

Great aquarium with a wide variety of animals from sharks to jellyfish. The upstairs is a great museum with an impressive collection. Also fantastic views from the roof of the city.

One of the best marine museums in Europe. There is a vast variety of exhibition from sea creatures to aquatic culture, modern arts and history. The displays are well organized so it’s very easy and entertaining to go through the whole museum. The museum itself is a majestic building with glorious view on the top floor.

Nice aquarium. Top floor has a great panorama view, a playground and an affordable cafe. The collection was interesting too. Not 100% accessible by elevator though.

Interesting place to visit, great aquarium over lower two floors, then good museum over other floors. Great views from the roof, with nice children's play area. The current exhibition of large scale art was impressive too.

Impressive displays and a huge variety of exotic fish. The museum dedicated to Albert the 1st is very interesting and the fact that some exhibits are accompanied by digital documentation in multiple languages makes it a must see in Monaco, but be careful, very crowded, lots of children and it might take you a while to get all the infos that the aquarium has to offer, which is the busy part of the museum.

Gorgeous building overlooking the ocean. We didn't go in but it looked like it would not disappoint. Gardens surrounding the hilltop setting and tourist little train departs from here. A breathtaking reward for making the walk up to the top, passing the royal palace along the way.

As a pair visiting Monaco for the first time, we were said to go and visit this oceanographic museum on our way. And what a wonderful discovery! The museum is very big and the aquarium part is of course the most popular. Very well equipped with interactive tablets, you can easily come across all the species you are discovering. It is easy and avoid the traditional written-signs (commonly avoided for looking like romans ;) ). The species they have are really impressive and the way they enable visitors to look to them is also very enjoyable.
On the top of the building, there is a restaurant with a children area. And there, if you are lucky, you can meet a very special guest, a bird which was saved by a waiter some years ago and which still come to visit him along the day.
I highly recommend to go there. And it seems you can get a discount on the entrance fee if you have come to Monaco with the train. Keep your train ticket! ;)

We parked in the parking of the museums of Monaco some floors below. Diversity of sea creatures and a lot of info in the aquarium. Our 3yr olds were much interested too.The museum is very nice too but we didn't spend much time there because we had it all in the aquarium. On the roof the view is super. there is a restaurant (check the time of the kitchen time) with an island for turtles and a play yard for children.

This is the best aquarium I've seen so far, edging out Toronto by a good margin. The center 'lagoon' aquarium is the best single aquarium anywhere for viewing, and the fish all look very content in it. We were patient by the shark eggs, and got to see one hatch. In mid March, there were almost no people in the afternoon.

The building is so beautiful and monumental, but the exhibition is a bit boring at some points. The view from the roof is wonderful, recommended to go up.

A must see for the family!! This is an extraordinary oceanographic building! Kids can stroke pet fish and its also educational. A must see if you never did scuba diving! A " never- forget " experience!

Was not a fan of Monaco or the scene in general but just lovely this place. The surprise light display was the most magical thing I've scene in a museum. Could watch the sharks for hours too. Highlight of the holiday.

Most of the sea animals are same and sharks are not moving at all just prefer to go once only. there is guide in French.. but magnificent panoramic from terrace. .
