It's a sacred place
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala bless us with this visit.
Beautiful mosque and zawiya of the Muslim Tijani order. The erudite scholar and man of great piety, Sidi Ahmed Tijani is buried within the grounds and visitors are ushered in to pay their respects to this man, who is loved the world over. After prayer times, there is a congregational sitting of people in straight lines, reading from the Muslim holy book (the Quran) and reciting prayers. There is also a replica of the famous Imam al-Qandousi calligraphy, "Allah" (tr: God) on one of the walls, which is worth keeping an eye out for. Visitors will find many cushions next to pillars within the mosque. These are reserved for teachers and descendents of Sidi Ahmed Tijani, many of whom are present.
So blessed
One the best and holy place to go on this earth
