  it's not jus a Riad or villa it's a beautiful painting and quiet place where you can spend a relaxed time . everything is great and clean .the staff are very helpful and charming . The food totally fresh and delicious .I really recommend this place 100%

  Such a pleasant experience go stay at Villa Makassar. The owner and staff are Always so polite and attentive. Great location and very tastefully decorated . The art deco is oozing from every inch of the riad .

  I stayed 6 nights (2 Jan - 8th) at this beautiful art deco riad. The rooms are all named after famous artists. The staff are super friendly, Khadija at reception really makes you feel at home. The food is really good, well priced as is the service by Samir and Rabi. Romantic hotel, great location but also suitable for travelling solo. Highly recommend sand would sure go back.

  The hotel is tucked away in the kasbah. We entered via a dramatic long hallway, which set us up for the art deco interior throughout. The staff were very friendly. Had a great massage and relaxed in the haman and the jacuzzi pool. I had a great time at villa makassar and would stay here again.

  Magnifique décoration intérieure dans un lieu ravissant et très reposant. Le service est irréprochable. Le restaurant est excellent avec des saveurs locales très équilibrés. Je recommande un long séjour dans ce lieu féerique.

  Lovely hotel for experienced travellers; a wonderful surprise was the delicious food. The front desk ladies Zineb and Siham were helpful and followed up on everything I asked them about. At times, the hotel can feel very empty - the rooftop and dining room are set for a bus full of tourist which may be difficult to attract given the 10 rooms in the riad. I would not recommend this hotel to first time travellers outside of Europe/USA because the neighbourhood could be difficult to walk about solo for some (no guide); taxi driver Ishmaîl (hotel recommended) was lovely for safe evening trips. The spa is only open when booked in advance which I found difficult given I never knew when I'd return each day from exploring the city. There is no official hotel concierge to help with organising your trip to Marrakech, so you need to be proactive and know exactly what you would like to do then the staff can help coordinate. The internet is 5.5 out of 10 (this is satisfactory for Morroco).
  
  Major tip --> Tell the hotel you do NOT want Room 8 with jacuzzi. I booked through Expedia and never received an email asking if I would like a room with a shower OR jacuzzi (apparently all guest receive this email but they agreed they didn't send it to me) - you DO NOT want the room with jacuzzi which is number 8. I think it is a shame the hotel pretends this is a hotel room and charges the full rate for this room, because it is a spa treatment room that they chucked a bed into - it does not have the comfortable surroundings of the other rooms and I would politely refuse to spend the evening in it (this worked for me 3 of 4 nights :-). If this room were much cheaper than other rooms, it is like a nice private room in a hostel in Amsterdam.
