The melting pot Tanger is great!!!! It is located in the heart of the medina, the time it takes u to find it introduces u into another world and then u arrive to the place and u find a beautiful typical Arab house!! A charm!!
The staff is very good and friendly!!!

The staffs were really friendly (i forgot his name) but there is a super chill dude who makes all his guests feel at home! But I’m giving 2 stars because 1) I got a bed bug from this place and had to throw out most of my clothes, 2) the location is hidden in a maze and difficult to reach, especially if you are a female traveller, do not go here after the sunset, there are lots of people begging, threatening, and calling you names in front of this hostel (they just stay there i dont know why they’re there). So yeah, staffs are amazing and it will be good if you’re a male or with a company. Just be careful of people who try to help you find this place, they follow you into the hostel and demand money. It’s tangier. Remember that.

The Melting Pot hostel in Tangier's Medina is a well-run, clean and pleasant place for budget-minded travelers. It has another excellent hostel in Tarifa, Spain, only one hour away across the Strait of Gibraltar via the FRS Ferry.

The hostel is located just off Dar Baroud, in the vicinity of the Hotel Continental. There is a pleasant rooftop terrace which is great for relaxing.

A cute space tucked away in the medina. Getting to it is an adventure but very much worth it. The staff and the atmosphere couldn't be any better. They have a lovely terrace where you can meet some really interesting people and from all over the world and nice breakfast. We liked it so much that after few days we came back to the Melting Pot and again, it was great!

It's a very nice and cosy hostel with a good location, in the middle of the Medina, near the port and the city center. The staff is super friendly and very helpful and the athmosphere is great. If you're staying in Tangier I strongly recommend this welcoming and clean little hostel where you can have great experiences and make a few friends.

Hm, we realized there was a bug in the bed (a young bedbug? a roach? I don't know) minutes after arriving. But the multi-lingual woman at the front desk did an EXCELLENT job of getting us a room somewhere else at midnight in the peak season. (I brought the bug to the front desk to show her) She even gave us the difference for the new price, and returned the deposit. We did have a nice stayat the other hotel. :)

Small rooms. But that didn't matter because of the very nice reception; everyone is so friendly. I loved it here and can't wait to visit again.
Edit: I took away 3 stars because of the itchy quickly spreading pimples I got all over my body later on, I had to see a doctor. I am healing now, but the money I saved from the cheap hostel is spent on meds.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great vibe, clean rooms, secure, perfect location. Wifi and hot water work well, and there's a great view of Tangier and the Strait of Gibraltar from the terrace. One of the best deals around.

Staff was nice. great rooftop view. The breakfast wasn't great but included in the price. The bedbugs woke me up and found a gigantic one on me. Got to see the sunrise on the rooftop because I couldn't sleep.

I would totally rank this hostel higher if my friend and I hadn't been bit over 100 times by bed bugs. My friend was bit so much she ended up in the emergency room. They had to put her on steroid antihistamines.

Bed bugs aside, the rooftop is a nice place to hang out and a light breakfast is included in the price. Rooms on the first floor seem like they would be noisy due to the proximity of the front desk and entrance. There is only one bathroom on each floor which can be a little crazy at times.

I just wish they had the bed bug problem under control.

We loved it. It's small in surface area but cozy with nice common areas. Yes, we got lost trying to find it but it was because our GPS kept changing location. Just keep walking past the hotel Continental and be aware of the small signs on the walls that will tell you to turn left and then right and that's it. As mentioned, don't pay attention to all the guys asking to help, it doesn't come for free, specially in the big cities. We got a private double room with shared bathroom, not much noise (it's a hostel), everything seems pretty clean and the staff was very helpful.

Not bad as far as hostels go. Bunks on the first floor tend to be noisy as they're next to the front desk. The rooftop patio has a great view. Internet works well. It is located in the maze of the Old Medina. Look carefully for the signs on the way in and don't let anyone try to help you find it. There are a lot of con artists preying on tourists there, often offering to guide them somewhere for your money.
