  Just returned from a wonderful week in Morocco. Stayed at Riad Baraka on the second leg of the trip after 3 nights in an absolutely stunning riad in Marrakech, which I think made us pick up on the details of this riad that we felt didn't quite measure up.
  
  Overall, our time at Baraka was a really cool experience. The couple that run the place are so lovely and will genuinely help you out in any reasonable way, although we did feel as though we were being subjected to some amount of upselling. During our first night's dinner (which was absolutely delicious and great value for money) our conversations were interrupted by suggestions of tours and excursions the next day, which we totally appreciated but felt as if the manner was just a bit too pushy.
  
  The building itself is really gorgeous and the poolside area in particular is an amazingly tranquil, relaxing space to eat, drink and chill out in. Our suite was absolutely huge, with tall, beamed ceilings and traditional Moroccan wooden doors and coloured glass windows. Unfortunately there has been no consideration for how the interior spaces have been arranged and a feeling of homeliness definitely hasn't been created as really beautiful Moroccan furniture has been mixed with modern textures and fabrics that aren't really in keeping, and furniture has been arranged haphazardly. We also wanted to add extra pillows to our beds, but the selection available to us in the cupboard were without cases, old, worn and bursting at the seams.
  
  All this being said, we did have an amazing few days and were cared for by really great hosts. This riad is really good value for money and I would recommend checking it out.

  we only had one night here and would have loved to stay longer. this riad is absolutely beautiful. I can't gush over the decor enough. comfortable stay and the service was very friendly. short walk straight into the winding medina. would stay again.

  So lovely. And the best in-house hammam I've had in Morocco. The staff is full of suggestions and advice. We stayed in the late fall, but heaters kept the rooms warm and toasty. Great decor.

  Although we had the smallest room we enjoyed our stay very much. Once you know where it is - it is easy to find BUT be aware when you let a taxi drive you as mostly they will bring you to the "riad fes" which is close but not correct. The house keeper and his stuff is very nice
