I really enjoy the atmosphere of this place as it is very open and bright. There is no smoking as far as I can tell and the setup is enjoyable for viewing sports matches from both levels. Sometimes the menu pictures differ quite drastically from what is actually served thus that is my only downfall for this place. Otherwise great restaurant.

I know this place for 20 years, and it has always been great for breakfasts, brunches or quick lunches. The owner is a nice person too.

This restaurant always has a lunchtime menu du jour for about 38 Dirhams (not including drink and tip, and it is reliably good. You can see that it has a daily crowd at lunchtime and in the afternoon, particularly of some locals and tourists who come over from Spain for the day.

My saumon fumee salad was a bit more (58 dirhams) but generous and delicious, along with a fresh avocado juice.

At dinner the menu always has a good selection of entrees, main courses including fish, steak, chicken and salads. The French fries are crispy and not lukewarm, and a decent selection of desserts ranging from fresh fruit salad to ice creams. Under 100 DH for a full dinner.

Smoking is allowed and downstairs is pleasant for people watching. They give you free appetizers of olives, sometimes a little potato salad, and bread (but be sure to ask for butter if you want it since it is not usually brought with the bread).

The Comedia is always reliably good for lunch and dinner and it is not too noisy inside and there is WiFi. On Fridays there is a couscous or tajine. You can also sit outside and enjoy a coffee or tea, etc., but it is usually noisy because of the constant traffic on Avenue Mohammed V.

This restaurant-cafe is open during Ramadan for non-Moslems. As far as Tangier's downtown restaurants go, this is an excellent and inexpensive to moderately-priced choice, and it has a pleasant decor, comfortable chairs and clean toilets upstairs.

Restaurant Comedia is very close to the Acima supermarket at Tanger Boulevard shopping mall, which also has a second Comedia restaurant on the ocean-facing terrace. But personally, I think the original Comedia is the best one.

Food is always of a very good standard. Very wide choice of dishes, ranging from traditional Moroccan dishes like Harira, to pizzas and pasta. Very good service.

My crepe with chicken and mushrooms was dry and lacked flavor, thigh some other dishes I saw coming out looked interesting. Service and ambiance were good.

It's tough to get a good restaurant in down town Tangier. Sad, but true. We wandered high and low and found nothing but snacks and ice cream shops. Comedia was a welcome discovery - good menu, good food, good service. A little bit pricey, but not too bad.
