i like cake and sweet👍🏻
L'Italienne is one of two boulangers in Tangier, owned by the same family. This one is located directly next door to the Jenin supermarket near Iberia (Place de Koweit).
It arguably sells the best fresh breads and pastries in all Tangier.
There used t be a beautiful and elegant salon de the-cafe next door to l'Italienne II, but sadly and unfortunately, it closed after Ramadan 2017.
The Salon de Tea was absolutely one of the most elegant cafes in all of Tangier, and it was a veritable green and beige marble palace (as is the boulangerie).
The Salon de Tea was classically designed in green and beige marble and had exceptionally well-constructed wood paneling in the best taste.
Inside there was a beautiful marble staircase up to the second floor sitting area that was usually pleasantly cooled by air-conditioning in the hot summer months and heated in the winter.
The entire cafe was always quiet and pleasant, with an upscale clientele, and its teas, coffees and desserts were are all of excellent quality and were served by courteous well-dressed waiters.
And the place had very good WiFi. Whether you sat downstairs or upstairs, the salon de tea-cafe was always ideal for conversation.
It was, in my opinion, much better than the old Madame Porte's downtown, which sadly has been destroyed for a McDonald's. If the owners could just keep this place open. What a shame it closed.
Tangier needs a truly elegant cafe, particularly that Madame Port's has been irresponsibly destroyed.another landmark gone.
I hope the owners will reconsider their decision to close this place and will reopen this beautiful Salon de Tea next to its boulangerie-patisserie.
Very good place
