We are on our last day today and we really wish we booked a longer holiday. The kids loved it. It’s amazingly clean every where. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. Almost every day there are 2 shows ( Dancing, circus, singing) . The rooms are really spacious, tidy and clean. The weather is great as it not too hot or too cold and apparently it’s like that most of the year (can be a bit cold to swim outside sometimes). The food was my favourite with so much variety. Our kids loved the kids club. There are also lots of places to visit in and around Agadir. A day trip to Marrakech was Ideal. Your really feel like a VIP guest here

This hotel is amazing. The staff are so friendly and they can't do enough for you. The food is very good and the pool area is beautiful. Cannot fault this hotel at all and would certainly reccommend the Riu Palace Tikida.

Nice hotel. Service a little Fawlty Towers at times. I get a sense it is a benefit to be French when staying at the hotel. Food is great at the buffet; a la carte restaurants are nice but don't be sad if you don't get booked into them. Drinks are brand names and generous measures.

Absolutely superb! You will definitely not be disappointed. Everything is just perfect. Spotless hotel throughout. Good quality bedding, towels, furnishings etc. Fantastic food - something for everyone. Great location .. right on the promenade/beach. The staff are a credit to the management team. Please give it a try.. you will definitely want to return, as I have several times.

We've had so many problems with the rooms. First day I woke up and nearly slipped out because the air con had leaked and flooded the floor and my suitcase, 3 times then in the week the air con broke down and kept having to call reception (who don't even understand properly) then are room cards kept breaking and iv had to go down stairs several times with a buggy to tell them I couldn't get in my room. Then we had loads of ants by the front of our room which started going up the wall.

Apart from the problems with the rooms, the hotel is beautiful and most of the staff are nice it's just tiring having so many problems with the room and you don't expect that when u go platinum in a 5 star.

Hotel is big, rooms are spacious and fine. Large pool area with nice sun beds and ditto umbrellas, however it can get noisy. There is aqua gym everyday and there is no escape possible if you want to be at the pool.
The food is where it gets bad. We were both sick for almost the entire week, had no food elsewhere than the hotel (drank no water except from bottles, no ice, etc), so it had to be the food.
I doubt there are many better hotels in Agadir but we're not going back, that's for sure.

Hotel Riu Palace Tikida is a luxury 5-stars hotel that is absolutely beautiful. From the minute you walk through its doors you can smell the quality and air of luxurious pampering that is inside.

The well-maintained grounds around this place are wonderful, from the carpet-like lawn, flowers, shrubs and palm trees.

The restaurants serve excellent food, and the well-trained staff are polite and speak multiple languages.

This all-inclusive hotel is right on the beach and long promenade in downtown Agadir, and in addition to the large swimming pool has its own private beach for guests.

All the rooms and suites have views of the ocean, beach, promenade or gardens and are air-conditioned and tastefully furnished. You can be assured of a restful stay at this place.

A beautiful hotel in the Riu tradition. Large, clean, very well laid out & comfortable pool area. All food is freshly cooked. A variety of restaurants. Nice large & comfortable rooms. Half hour from Agadir airport. Staff are very friendly & helpful. The hotel animation is the best I've seen to date.

GENERAL
TUI list this as a 5T resort, but in reality it is probably a 4* plus. I'm sure it genuinely was a 5* establishment when it was first built, but there are a few areas where the age is beginning to tell. That said, it is still a modern, clean and classy hotel which is clearly one of the best in Agadir. The hotel has three pools; 1 x heated indoor, 1 x heated outdoor and 1 x non-heated outdoor.

STAFF
This is an area in which the hotel really excels. According to the hotel management, there are 400 staff working in the hotel, although you could quite easily believe there were more as they were all extremely efficient and attentive. This is true regardless of whether a gratuity was given or not.

FOOD & DRINK
The food is generally excellent and I'm sure even the most picky eater will find something. There are a wide variety of snacks, salads and hot meals which are rotated each day, along with lots of fresh fruit and salad vegetables. There is a lot of fish on offer (as Agadir is a fishing port) but also beef, chicken and pork roasts are available on different days. A word to vegetarians, the labelling of the food (especially the salads and sauces) is random and sometimes slightly less than accurate, so it's best to check what is actually in the dishes first, if it's not obvious.

Apart from the soft drinks (Sprite, Fanta, Coke and Diet Coke), the mixers (Schweppes) and Martini, the remainder of the drinks were of local or Spanish origin. I did see a few bottles of Grant's whiskey and Becks beer around, but other than that, all other alcoholic drinks were unbranded. All wine is Moroccan, with the two speciality restaurants serving better wine than the buffet restaurants.

ROOMS
All rooms (even if they aren't suites) are large and split level with a bath, shower (Rain and Hand-held), sofa, table and chair. There is also in-room Air Con and a balcony with outside furniture and sliding doors. The hair-dryer in the room works well but although there is no in-room Wi-Fi, there is an Ethernet socket so if you rely on having Internet access, you can either buy a travel router to use in the room, or use the Wi-Fi in the communal areas. (We have been told by the management that WiFi will be installed in all rooms by March 2017) The room fridge does not contains alcoholic drinks, only water and soft drinks and there is also a lack of power sockets in logical positions within the room.

AGADIR
The city of Agadir was totally destroyed by an earthquake in 1960, so don't expect the historic buildings that you get in Marrakesh or Casablanca. The only original part of the city is the Casbah on the top of the hill, but even that has been heavily restored, however it is a great place from where to take photographs of Agadir and the coast.

Due to the lack of museums and the like (only the Berber museum is worth a 30 minute look), Agadir has been developed with tourism, services and the commercial and fishing ports in mind, so shopping is very well catered for. The Moroccan Market sells everything from shoes and handbags to fruit and veg, while if you walk down to the Marina you have expensive boutiques and restaurants.

It's the best 5 star hotel we have stayed.
We stayed in this hotel last year & loved it. My husband & I are traveling 3 times a year but never to the same country, we love to see the world but the luxury of this hotel made us to come back again. Staff are amazing & helpful, food is great, all day entertainment are good. Love to seat with glass of drink by the piano in the evening . I really recommend to everyone

One can very easily see how this place earns it 5 stars. After a second time visiting I am blown away. The building Itself is beautifully designed and structured and makes you feel belittled by it all. The food is fantastic and is something similar to what you would expect from a high-end restaurant. I can't recommend this place enough; I can't even begin to explain how magnificent the place is itself. If you have the chance to come here, then definitely do so.

Initially, our room allocated overlooked the goods arrival yard and a main road, so. It wasn't the ideal start to the holiday. Upon complaining, the staff were understanding and re located us to a room overlooking the beach and pool. I was overjoyed and accepted the change of room. However, my wife stated that she preferred the previous room overlooking the goods entrance as she liked to listen to the local hotel workers shouting at each other in Moroccan. She was comforted by the slamming of car doors and the screech of twist and go scooters that occurred throughout our first night there. It was apparent that we wanted different things in life. It was the beginning of the end. Thank you Rui, you're initial room allocation ended my marriage. I will never be the same again. Shame on you and your hotel chain.
