The gate itself is magnificent but everything else around it so out of sync. Too noisy and crowded. If the wind is right, you ll get some unforgettable memories from the nearby fish&meat market 😂

The entrance to the Medina for most visitors, so it's also the place where find most of the tourist-friendly restaurants in the old town. The gate is fairly new. Built by the french in the mid 20s after they destroyed the original one.

The main gate to the medina of Fes, a must seeing gate, made of green and blue tails. Small restaurants at the entrance, decide the prices before you order, they do traps and you can pay expansive some times. Shops of sweet Moroccan pastelary are around there, you have to test some, that is the occasion.

A real authentic morrocan experience inside the walls of Fes. Beware! it is a very busy area with many small streets where one can get lost very easily! Highly recommended to go both during the day AND during the evening- different atmospheres.

There is a dodgy atm, lots of shady crowd, everyone wants your attention, smells like piss. Also there are really good and super cheap places to eat. All could white boy would dream of.

It's cool to see, knowing the significance of it. However, beyond a picture there's no specific activity here. It's flanked by a bunch of eateries. I recommend the Le Coin Des Artistes restaurant right outside the gate!! Good food, chill laid back and friendly vibes 😎

The Bigest, principal, and eldest door of the old Medina of Fez, every tourist has to visit it kow about its story. Beside it on the right side a small door takes you to the old irrigation and wather distribution system in the world based on the gravity and depend to Al-jawaher river.

This place really comes to life at night, a truly wonderful atmosphere. Families go there at night to socialise. Expect to see kids playing, parents chatting and the older men drinking coffee nearby. If you look approachable people will want to speak with you. A unique community nightlife not seen in the West (probably due to the absence of alcohol).

For all adventures into the old medina, this is the most commonly used entrance. Taxis are aplenty here and regularly service this area, both pickup and drop off. There are several cafes, a pharmacy, mosque, ATM and a hostel (Hotel National). Inside Bab Boujeloud, you'll find lots of restaurants too. Do take time to read the information on the noticeboard just next to the ATM, on the left of the entrance to the huge gate.

Quite a pretty gate. Lots of vendors around. Fewer touts than deep in the medina. What else can I say?

one of the main attraction area. There's nothing much to say about the gate but there are many restaurants and stalls surround this place. Expect some touting. If you are taking taxi it is easy to tell the driver this place too.
