  Unbelievable find. We had been on the road coming from the desert and needed an alternative to tagines. We found Block House on our way to Fes and emailed from the road. They responded quickly to our inquiry about vegetarian options and we promptly made a reservation.
  
  Our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The restaurant was quiet, but it was a Monday night. We had just a small issue with communication, but it added to the charm of the overall experience. They recommended two salads, a pizza and a special vegetarian lasagna that was prepared in a vegan style. After dinner, we were offered desert, but we declined. They brought out a delicious tiramisu anyway (as a friendly gesture). As if all of that wasn't enough, when we asked if they could call us a taxi, the owner himself offered (and did) drive us back to our riad inside the medina.
  
  This service is above and beyond and it was the most welcoming experience to another city that we have ever experienced. After traveling for several days and being a bit rundown, we were treated like old friends by Muhummad and his staff. I recommend Block House very highly - it was an excellent experience.

  Very good food, service and atmosphere. The price is reasonable comparing to others places in Fez. I would recommend Block House Restaurant.
