Is there anything better in Liepāja? I don't think so. The hotel is very nice, it has a private parking and the rooms are spacious, clean and with nice furniture (plus: the bathroom is very big and well equipped; minus: the beds are squeaky, so it kinda makes more difficult to sleep silently if you are used to move during the night). I definitely advise you to book at least a breakfast in the winter garden, a "must do" especially in the cold season to enjoy the view over the canal that connects the sea and Liepāja’s lake in a warm environment while outside it snows.

One of the nicest hotels i have stayed in latvia. usually i use Radisson when travelling. (none here) The popular Promenade was booked out and i stayed here. I am glad the rooms are luxurious (as the whole hotel is) very large well furnished with large bathrooms. mine had a Jacuzzi tub and the marble floor radiant heat.. what a pleasure. great TV and views of the canal. Friendly staff and the prices are great. breakfast is chosen from a menu the night before and personally prepared just for you at the time you want it and super delicious as is the in house restaurant "Romantic" where every meal was comparable to being prepared by a Michelin Star cook. Fresh quality cooked by profi's that know what they are doing. Simply super great food! Next time I am in town I will be back here to stay. And for you yuppies. .yes you can park your boat on their dock. In winter they have a fireplace room a steam room and a glass circle winter garden to warm up to. very nice. Thank to those that resurrected this historically significant place from soviet neglect.
