An institution of higher education and scientific research in art established in 1921. The neo-Gothic brick architecture is very beautiful, worth visiting and taking pictures.

Not a bad school for foreigners with limited artistical aptitude. Got drunk a lot, banged a lot of girls (not from this school though, your experience may vary.)

Honestly though, this school is amazing. It is the 4-year prep-course for the even more demanding Art University in Riga. When I came there, as an 19-year old would-be (self-taught) artist, the 16-year old pupils at this school wiped my ass. Still loved it, and if you're more artistically inclined than me, (I ended up as a graphic artist) this is most certainly the best place to go for you. Would most certainly recommend, 10/10.
