  UPDATE: I looked through the reviews and am shocked to learn most are 5-star. I think they are all paid. The only 2 sane reviews are 4 and 3-star. People say cars are clean. Not true. I’ve seen my car and the cars on the parking lot.
  
  ORIGINAL: had terrible experience that is 1 step away from qualifying this branch as scam. We rented a car through Orbitz with listing under Dollar Rent, which in turn resells Hertz cars.
  
  The car we rented was “mislisted”. That’s the official excuse we got. At the same time this issue turned out to be known for a long time to the rep at the branch. We rented “Mid-size Elite” class. Class clarification on Orbitz said “Jeep Grand Cherokee or similar” and showed a picture of Jeep. At location we actually would have gotten WV Jetta! (Wow, “Elite”) instead of Jeep but they “upgraded” us to WV Passat because they didn’t have a Jetta available. That was made a big deal!
  
  After spending 2 hours on the phone hopelessly looping between Dollar, Hertz and Orbitz we went out the door with a WV. Hertz and Dollar plainly refused to deal with the issue blaming the 3rd party. They list the car on Orbitz and take no responsibility for their listing. Orbitz was good and offered us options.
  
  When we initially ordered a car, we paid €50 for a child seat. They forgot about it when we called to confirm our reservation and we had to remind them. They also forgot about it at spot. We again had to remind them.
  
  The car we got was dirty inside and out. I was surprised it didn’t smell.
  
  The rental shop was listed as “inside the terminal”. Apparently we had to walk 500m with our luggage outside. We had to cross a large parking and busy roads to get there. After we got there, we learned that the car itself was elsewhere on a parking lot another 2km away. Shuttle bus takes you there. The shuttle bus drivers (both drivers to and from parking) were extremely rude and didn’t even help loading luggage into the van. They drove like crazy even though we had a baby on board. Courtesy was not in their vocabulary. If you have children or value your life, I’d not take the shuttle bus.
  
  Finally, having used 1/4 of gas tank we were slapped with a €100 bill for “gas tank refill” option. They plainly refused to prorate per usage.
  
  Long story short - there is a bunch of car rental shops INSIDE the airport. Prices are the same or better for the same class cars. We chose this shop because Jeep Grand Cherokee was priced like a WV Passat at other shops. I realize our mistake was we went for free cheese in a mousetrap.
  
  DO rent via Orbitz but avoid this particular branch.

  10/10. Friendly stuff, everything is organized, new and clean cars. From now on only Hertz whenever I go to Riga!

  Машины все свежие, чистые, получение/возврат очень оперативно, сотрудники компании очень приветливые.
  Но есть один минус. Получил а/м с полным баком, проехал 206 км, расход по БК с момента заправки - 6.2 л/100км. Итого я должен был заправить 12,8 л. Но в бак вошло аж 19 л. Даже с погрешностью БК много. Понимаю, что это предыдущие арендаторы схитрили, но все равно считаю это оплошностью компании Hertz.
