Don't use these guys. They will try to rip you off every chance they get. They charged €60 for three days car insurance, €30 just so we could cross the border into Lithuania (there was no border fee) and then insisted the car needed a €100 chemical clean because there was a small chocolate mark on the seat. Chocolate can easily be wiped off with warm water. They were clearly being lazy and looking for any excuse to take more money.

This company seems cheap when you book your car. Then at the office they add all kinds of fees which turns out to be very expensive. My price went up from 33€ to 88€ after adding "Crossborder fee" (what ridiculous fee is that!?) and extra insurance. If I had not taken the extra insurance, they would have forced me to pay for cleaning of the car. But the car and the shuttle service to the airport was good.

Avoid this company, the cheap prices they offer is just to attract the clients but in fact they a scammers. At the time of return no one was available at the car park, I rang the phone number no left on the door but no one answered. The security guard showed me the post box that wasn't lock properly to leave the keys and paperwork. I left the keys and paperwork than i made some photos of the car, after i took the shuttle to the airport. Two weeks after on the 16/03/18 i sent an esquire to ask about my deposit, and i received straightaway a reply with some damages that wasn't present when i left the car, and an invoice 633 euros. I have sent the evidence to greenmotion Latvia how i left the car, but the excuse was that the quality of the picture is not good enough.
I attached the picture when i left the car if anyone will zoom in can assess any damages, but these people they just ignored all my evidence.response / report this review -

Do not use this company. What you may thin is good for the booking prices they will get it back from other things. We arrived and service and people were everything but polite. Then petrol at car was at 5/8 (??), They asked us to return the car at same level (?), that is just impossible and of course tank had more petrol when it was returned. When we returned the car they told us that car was dirty (winter in Latvia I guess is how it is) and they charge 20 EUR for cleaning (they said that cleaning was not included). Everything else was supposed to be ok (even if whole experience was just awful). We arrived back home and they contacted saying that car had an scratch and they have to take our deposit to cover it. That is just a lie (car was as we took it) an reading other reviews I see that it is common practice for this company (to get your deposit once you are back in your country. A short summary, do not ever use this company if you do not want to be in similar position. I will report to consumer protection and police.

Fraudulent company. This is my picture taken when I returned the car. Zoom in on the picture so that you clearly see the red arrow on the left side of the front bumper on the car. The company claims there are scratches on that side of the front bumper that are parallel to the red arrow. The charged my credit card 370 euros because of that. Can you see any scratches? I am awaiting an answer from the company's central customer service. If I don't get my money back I will report the manager of the Riga rental station, Santa Krumina, to the police. My advice is that all of you who have had the same experience with this rental station do the same.
Edit: I have now reported Santa Krumina to the Lativan State police for fraud. I advice you to do the same if you have had the same experience as I. With many people reporting this fraudulent company to the police, eventually this station will have to shut down.

The worst rental company i have used ever. 3 weeks after car returned my credit card was charged 770eur for damages?! I retuned car in perfect condition as received, even have photos as proof. BUT when asked why i have been charged i received couple of photos of scratches you could notice only with magnifying glass. They said it looks like a scratch from a stone that has hit the car while driving however i do not recall anything like that happening. Unfortunately i have lost 770eur and weeks of arguing with their incompetent staff and branch manager Santa. They offer cheap prices for car rental and if you do not take extra insurance you will be charged all deposit reserved on credit card. Unfortunately i missed on reading all the negative reviews about green motion before renting from them. They are scam company that will use your trust, even if staff on receiving checks car to say all ok later on you will be charged for some damages they have created themselves. Avoid using them!

Never use this company. They try to rip off tourists on unauthorised fees etc If you do ever get to rent through this company please pay extra attention to their contract! It has been written with tourists in mind! they tried to charge me for a scratch that was never done but after reading all of Google reviews posted I am not the only one they tried to rip off. At least the customers now get to say and warn other people. I will also try to contact airbaltic who use this company on their website for car rental as continuing using them would potentially damage their reputation!

No transparency of terms and conditions. We forgot to indicate our flight number in the reservation. We arrived 1,5h later than indicated in the reservation, and our booking was cancelled. We had to pay 4€ extra a day to rent the same car we had reserved. Service was rather poor. We got very dirty car with some food leftovers in the car. This cancellation condition was not mentioned in the reservation form and the flight number was not a mandatory field. The car park was full wirh other cars, so I doubt there was no clean option to provide. Also, we got the car with half empty tank and had to return it also half empty. Try guessing how much petrol you need to return the car with half empty tank? The price they charge per litre of missing petrol is 3€ in a country were market price is about 1,20€. A complete ripoff.

Es la peor empresa que he usado en toda mi vida, ¡y tengo 50 años!
1. no quería comprobar el coche que volvimos después de alquilar
2. Después de nuestras insistentes peticiones, hemos decidido todavía dar un documento en el que se registran los arañazos que no fueron hechas por nosotros, sino que ya eran antes
3. para un rasguño de 1 cm con nosotros anulados el depósito entero-600 euros, esta empresa - estafadores!
4.trabajan algunos patanes, empezando por los conductores que le recibirá en el aeropuerto y obmatyugayut, y terminando con las chicas sin educación e histéricos que toman el coche después de que el contrato de arrendamiento. No se deje engañar por los bajos precios, USTED PERDERÁ SU DNERO EN CUALQUIER CASO! ¡ESTA ES LA POLÍTICA DE LA EMPRESA !!!!

Beware of this fraudulent company!
The car they rented out had quite visible scratches, but in the agreement it was registered as with ‘no damage’. Only after pointing it out they added that to agreement.
When I returned the car it was inspected and accepted without any remarks, however to my surprise after 2 weeks I noticed a 670 eur withdrawal from my account – it turned out after washing the car they surprisingly found a scratch on the side.
I am taking this case further to authorities and if you have had similar experience with this company I suggest you do the same.
This is clearly a fraudulent company whose actions border with criminal ones. The money you will ‘save’ on the cheap car rental you will lose ten times more once the company’s damage claim will rob you.
So if you do decide to rent a car with this company, have a magnifying glass with you if you decide to rent a car from them and take your time to inspect it thoroughly.response / report this review -

Staff pretty unfriendly which doesn't faze me but doesn't set you up for a great experience.
After the bad treatment by staff we managed to get on the road with a pretty nice car and all was OK, until we came back. I don't know whether a branch dropped on the car's hood or someone leaned on it while parked but there were tiny scratches on the hood. 4 scratches, less than 1 mm wide, maybe 3-5 cm long, these are not scratches because we had an accident, touched another car/wall during a turn or anything The cost of those scratches? close to 300 euros Rent cars in almost any other country/shop and they wouldn't have looked twice at those scratches
Technically the guys are right there were scratches so I can't dispute the fact but this is really not what I am used to from car rentals and can only strongly recommend against renting cars from this company (or at least this branch).response / report this review -

Used them to rent a car on my trip to Riga. Was upgraded to a better car than originally planned. Returned it back in time and didn't have any problems. Their charges for scratch/fine etc are a bit over the roof. This is why 4 out of 5.

Was using this company twice, and just booked another trip for 2 weeks in September coming, see Many bad reviews now, would not believe they was getting so bad.. My experience with them was brilliant, good customer service, really nice cars, clean and new, no extra charge just what we pay for rental, so was really value for money. Hope to have same experience in September. Best of luck..

I came back to post almost a month after my trip because of the fact that I wanted to let everyone know that all the reviews made me hesistate and even give them nasty attitude once I first arrived. I was greeted by 3 very polite people who went out of their way to make my experience amazing. One in particular stands out, but I started off with Santa, which is a girl that initially helped me, and then a blonde young guy which I can't remember his name, but it started with a G as far as I remember. When I first got there I had rented was a Volkswagen, but instead they offered me a Toyota, due to the misunderstanding they gave me one of the higher end 2016 models. The Avensis. That made up for the confusion, i went back in and got myself a little square pad that offer in order to have unlimited internet since I'm am an American traveler and was only staying for a week so it was pointless in activating service. So I used the device for a day and the following morning it wasn't functioning properly, so I took it back a bit upset and this is where the young man came into the picture. Not only did he try to fix it and noticed it wasn't working, he offered me my money back and asked me if I could keep him company at this gas station around the corner to help me install some internet service onto my device. He drove me there and was telling me about beautiful places in the near area and even suggested near by cities. We had a long talk, and it definitely changed my view on he way the internet had depicted it. At the end of the day we all know the types of human beings we are, and if you just know or get a feeling something is going to go wrong, go ahead. Put the extra insurance. I didn't expect it either. It I went with the intermediate insurance to make sure. Every company has their flaw. This one sure did too, but don't be such bitches, and give them a shot. I'm definitely coming back to them. 5/5
P.S: it's literally right next to the airport. They have a guy that picks you up and drops you off at their location. When I took my car they even took me straight to the airport.response / report this review -

Nice on beginning, but horrible at the End. We returned the car as schheduled, exakt fuel amount, no scraches ( 2 whitnesses) .They booked my deposit for real (300 Euro) and they charged another 70 Euros, both without informing me of a possible violation of the Contract. I saw this theft by surprise, when i checked my bank account. It took place one week after we brought the car back. Next time, after returning the car, i recommend to block ur credit card instantly. Or maybe dont start to interact with this bunch of theeves at all.

From this car rental company I will never ever rent a car again! And will never recommend it to my friends or a family members! There is a too big deposit cost they also charged me 30euros because I needed to cross a boarder to my home land Lithuania. Lastly they charged me 331euros because there was a tiny stone mark. I know much better companies to rent a car from, that has cheaper services and better services. I think this company is just charging for no reason to make money from the customers.

Do not hire a car from this company isn't as genuine has they look claiming damage of a car that I hired when I have proof of everything and wasn't damaged when dropped off but yet they still wanting to charge for the damages be aware there are better company's to hire from in Latvia than green motion do not hire a car !!!

Claimed 4 months after using their services that they had not been paid by the vendor - used a falsified security deposit to keep and retain my card details and make fraudulent charges to it when i'm not even in the country. Refused to sign their own form when dropping off the car to confirm that no damage had been made to the vehicle. Fuel was not full when picked up yet was expected to return it with a full tank. They did not check that the vehicle had the legally obliged safety equipment in it upon pick up - if i had been stopped by police and a spot check done i would've been charged hundreds of euros in a fine.
