Stay away from these crooks! They don't show up to check the car when you return it, and charge your credit card a few hundred bucks later for made up damage! When you contact customer service, they just tell you you agreed to the terms when you signed the contract! This is obviously a scam and Budget simply doesn't mind! Company has no moral standards or just doesn't care enough to uncover this. Stay away!

Charged for a damage which wasn't caused by me, a damage which happend UNDER the car.. of course nobody would check a rental car UNDER the car. 180€ for a scratch under the car.. it is an embrassing behavior for a company like that. never again.the most important for them is to charge for the "insurance", which is 45€/ day for lowering the excess from 700 to 0. so, hands aways from that company!.

Rented a car 26 October 2017 from Budget-Avis (The call them self: Avis - SIA IDEAL SERVICES) Riga International Airport. Was advised there was a 100 euro deposit on the Insurance, and the Insurance was 150. Paid on my Credit card. Returned the car back, took pictures all around the car, just in case the rental car company ripe you off, which I know Latvia Rental firms will try and screw you over if they can. Last week I got email from Budget, stating that they had any outstanding amount (Which was my insurance/deposit Euros 262.64 / £281.58).
I check my Credit card statement, and they have taken the money, on the 4th October. They are stating they don't have my money, think they can charge me again. At moment having Budget - London investigate is investigating them. On my invoice it written: DUMMY PPY INTERNET UK, then my name and address. So they must be running some kind of scam..I'm looking for another car hire company, as back there at Christmas time and new year. DONT US THIS COMPANYCROCKS !! We booked a car from Budget Rent-a-car web page two months before our travel to Latvia. Two days before our arrival to Riga, Budget Riga Airport office called us and canceled our reservation saying they didn´t have enough cars in their fleet. We were left without a car, and our family vacations were partly ruined. We had to look for other renting options, and taking into account a high season (August) we had to pay almost a double to rent a car. Our travelling plans were broken, we had to change dates for our trips to Estonia and Lithuania, and we lost two nights of hotel booked in Tallinn without any refund.
And moreover, I had to claim the money back from Budget Car Riga two times as they were not refunding my VISA for almost 10 days.
Never will trust this company again!!!!response / report this review -

STAY AWAY! DO NOT RENT FROM Avis/Budget car rental at RIX airport. I rented a car from Budget at RIX airport in 2017. When I checked out the car they claimed it had no damage and I was good to go. Went out to lot and car had obvious hail damage. No problem, had them mark it off and on my way. Returned car before opening hours because I had an early flight. Two weeks later I get a bill for almost $300 US for damage to the drivers door that I did not do. I washed this car and inspected it thoroughly before return and had NO additional damage. They artificially create damage and charge you for it. Again STAY AWAY!

Stay away from these crooks! They don't show up to check the car when you return it, and charge your credit card later for a few hundred bucks. Buy the full insurance or just stay away!
