Classic place with meats in focus but cuts seem to get smaller and not as well prepared as before. Great unfiltered beer brewed in house. Service can vary wildly

a good place to eat local specialties. I ate the roast pork loin (jarret de porc), with potato and kraut. Very good.

You can find some traditional Luxembourg dishes there, in the historic building. It used to be a place where one went for a no-frills, down-to-earth experience. Unfortunately, over the last few months the efforts to upscale the place have only resulted in very slowed down pace service

I can't say how much I love this place! I was so so late for my flight and needed to leave at 11, their restaurant and other restaurants around this area didn't open yet. However, they still agreed to cook me something with affordable price! I love this place and will definitely come back!

Traditional Luxembourg Restaurant with authentic local food and beer
This place is old, traditional and very simple - exactly the way it is supposed to be as the Mousel's Cantine!
I've read some reviews and must say. What did people expect?! A 5 Star restaurant?
Hey out there for those who love hearty authentic food in a simple and very traditional atmosphere coupled with a wonderful unfiltered beer! Go and visit Mousel's Cantine!

Super food options for lunch. Usually pick the menu de jour and have never been disappointed so far. Always good and value for money is absolutely ok.

Supposedly one of the places where one gets a taste of local food but disappointing to me both for the lacklustre interior, the uninspired food and the slow service, despite not having much attendance on a Friday noon. On top of that, it is overpriced for what you actually get.
Look out for other places if you really long for something authentic. In fact you may be better off attending any local event in your village where they may actually cater food that is as good as what you would get here and on top you would really get to mingle with locals while attending such an event.response / report this review -

Sehr gutes luxemburgisches Essen, grosse Portionen. Selbsgemachte Pommes Frites, ungefiltertes Bier in Steinkrügen.
