Amazing museum! Learned so much of the history of the country. Great tour guide. First thing to do when coming to the city so you can be informed on what you’re seeing while exploring the town. Informative. Entertaining. Fun

The museum takes you through the history of Luxemburg with interesting facts from foundation to nowadays. The demographic information room gives you an idea of how small is the population in this fascinating city

We had a birthday party there and the kids absolutely loved it! They had manyb activities and a great cake, they got costumed and learned about Melusina story. And the best part is that the parents can have a nice stroll, a break or a drink in the center while the kids are at the party. The only down part is that the kids cannot have the freedom to run and play and you have to bring your own party favors. They did a nice painting which they kept though.

Overall the museum is a bit underwhelming. Pity, it could have been done much better!
Positive:
The way the museum structure is set within the ancient city walls, with exposed stones, vaults, and the cool huge glass elevator. Modern, nicely designed and spacious.
Consideration for improvement:
The content - i think it could have been much more informative, insightful and interesting. E.g. there's mentioning that the city was part of the Spanish Kingdom, but what drove them there? How far did their kingdom stretch? What was their influence on the city? When did they leave and what happened next? Surely there are some insightful anecdotes, episodes to tell? E.g. there was a treaty per which the fortifications were destroyed, but what was the background to this?
The wooden city models at different points in time are awesome, but here again more interesting info can be highlighted (literally and figuratively)response / report this review -

Beutiful museum with good explanation about the birth and growth of Luxembourg and its war periods.
Also it has a huge glass elevator that takes you on tour through all the floors and history.
The only thing I was missing, was a bigger room for the second world war period. It's a small expo and there are lots of audio spots for every stage in the war, but you need to understand Luxembourgish, otherwise, no information for you
Located in the middle of the city, easy access and good for a quick visit!response / report this review -

Nice, clean, modern, accessible, easy to go and the hidràulic lift is VERY impressive. The story about Luxembourg is pretty clear, but maybe its missing a little bit about the WW2.

Very nice place about history of Luxemburg. Really liked the building of the museum. They basically added modern architecture into old building. And awesome insanely huge elevator is the provement. The entrance fee is very low(5eur) and with the student ticket it’s free. ☺️

5 storey great Museum. You will go through whole history of the city. For adult it cost 5€ and it is free if you are Student. There is locker room available and free podcast.

Definitely worth doing if you don't know much about Luxembourg. The museum covers the entire history from its beginnings including social, economic and military. This is all broken down by floor from the begining on the ground floor to a section about the future plans for Luxembourg on the 4th floor.

The main history museum of Luxembourg, this place has over 6 floors worth of exhibits all about the history of Luxembourg. From political struggles and the role it played in the wars, they have everything here from how it first came to be to where it is now. So much to see, learn and explore here. They also have a mini cafe on the main floor if you need a water/tea break.

A surprisingly good museum. Knew very little about the history of Luxembourg and this museum takes you through the history in an engaging way. Doesn't cost much to get in. Totes worth a visit!

Even just experiencing the museum building from the insight is worth the entry money. And that's not yet taking into consideration the great and varied visualization of the city's and country's history.

Nice museum just close the Palais Gd.Ducal. Note : do not miss the main central elevator which I always found impressive in a such historic and rather small place.
