Not good. There's not enough seats, hardly any restaurants or cafeterias and of course there are no work desks for using your laptop. No children's playroom either.
The check in line can get surprisingly lengthy for such a small airport.
If your flight gets cancelled, the staff is unhelpful and not interested unless you are flying with local airline Luxair.
Bus to the city centre leaves at an interval of 30-minutes on Saturday and Sunday evenings and taxi ride to the centre (about 5 km) costs around 35 euros.
Nice little airport. Staff were friendly and very helpful. They speak French, Dutch, and English which is great. The airport is fairly easy to navigate, which is good as I get lost easily. There's not that many shops or seating areas. On the whole, I had a stress free time here.
It's a small airport and it's clean and air conditioned. There are not many eating options and they seemed pretty expensive - not that I bought anything. The duty free shops are definitely on the expensive side.
I had to return a rental car and I thought the signage towards the return area was very poor and in one place just wrong: it said use car park A, when the correct one is car park B. I had to ask a member of staff where I was supposed to go.
I was also fortunate enough to be able to use the business lounge as the guest of a frequent flyer. Signage towards the lounge after security is again almost non-existent, and doesn't seem to actually point you in the right direction.
On the evening I used the airport, check-in was unbelievably slow. Mercifully, my flight had only a short queue.
For the size of the airport, the rating would have to be good. A quiet place, where nice food is served. Adequate parking space. Always a good feeling leaving the bustle of the big cities and landing at this airport. Just remember to arrive early and check in as security checks and processing time can hold you up.
Small airport, clean and efficient, very good staff.
A clean airport, near to the city center. You can easily take the bus no 16 with only 2€
Good and efficient airport. Staff are super helpful and there are a lot of connections to interesting places for those interested in frequent weekend trips (mostly European destinations). It's a small airport I use frequently and I like it. Can't really find anything negative to say about it. Do bear in mind that given it's size stores/duty free is limited but then again how many people really shop much in airports (?).
Small airport but really quick security check and friendly staff at every positions.
Nice small and cozy airport! Stuff working fast, very helpful! They have got restaurants, places for wait and rest and also duty free. I like this airport.
small but fine. nothing special but more than you might expect.
Small airport. Nothing much but does its job as an airport. Just 2 places for food before checking in. The cheaper place, Comptoir du Bon Pays serves horrid food with not much variety - unlike what they say on their website, so we went to the other restaurant Oberweis located next door and paid 20+ for another plate of steak. See my photos for the food we ate!
The only place to have something to eat, Moselier, played loud annoying music from speakers directly over the tables. Is it a strategy to make people feel so uncomfortable that they leave the place quickly? If not please understand that people would rather like silence than loud music they have not chosen themselves.
Nice airport but shuttle for economy parking did not show up as noted. We arrived within operating hours and still waited over 30 minutes. By then it was so crowded the shuttle was too small.
Not really big but quite modern and everything usually goes really quick and seamlessly as it should.
Very efficient airport, was through security in no time at all.
The lounge was nice to relax whilst waiting for my flight.
what more can you wish for?
So disappointed by this airport after waiting 3 hours for our delayed flight we still ended up missing it due to lack of or very unclear information from the airport on gate numbers and waiting areas. It's bad enough we flew with airlines Ryan Air and Easy Jet who can be very unreliable and proved to be so on this small weekend trip as they were both delayed going to Luxembourg from London and leaving Luxembourg to London. On top of that the airport failed to give regular updates on the flight and departure gate change.
They don't even have screens displaying the flight details in visible places and the staff we spoke with about the flight being missed were absolutely rude and inconsiderate. They tried to challenge us and made us feel as if it was our fault when we were more than early for the flight and were siting a few feet away from the so called section our flight was broading at.
They didn't say anything over speaker and insisted they did but I was fully aware and was listening out and didn't hear anything about our flight in English at least. Due to this experience it's very unlikely I will be returning to this airport and will definitely not be flying with Easy Jet and Ryan air any time soon. I understand they are budget airlines but it's not an excuse to constantly have flights delayed. That's taking the abosulte piss when people have paid money and need to get somewhere on time.
Very annoyed by this situation as we've now had to book and pay for another flight back home at a later time in the evening which is a big inconvenience. Wasted money and time having to be in an airport for a total of 6 hours. I lve been left to feel very uncertain and neverous about my flight to come as it's not reassuring from this experience if things might go wrong again. I can only urge this airport system to make some changes to better inform their customers and not to continue to have these situation occur regularly.
The security queue was fine. The lounge was basic but fine.
I appreciate that it's small airport but there is NOTHING here once passing security. Small duty free area which only sells expensive goods and a cafe after passport control that seems to never open. Be warned passport control doesn't always open until the gate is open and there is nowhere to sit once through duty free!!
Yep, its the airport. It's were you go and catch a plane, though I tend to be one of those people that I simply fly into Europe and the trek about the place by train. The only reason that I ended up here was because I wanted a place to drop off the car, and the Airport is always, without fail, the best place to do so. Mind you, the problem was that there wasn't any petrol station here, which was quite annoying. Still, it was practical, and the cab ride back into the city wasn't too pricey. Mind you, the cabbies tend not to speak English so make sure you have brushed up on your French.
2,5 Euros for every 15' after the first 15' is ridiculous, it is robbery. Average time to pickup someone safely is 30', but they were not making enough money like that. And this is why a lot of cars at the airport stop illegally waiting to pick up their family right outside of the parking. I hope that you realise how dangerous it is the situation you have created for a few euros. Any accidents that happen are on you, don't say that no-one told you. Pathetic!
Small airport and therefore everything is very efficient and quick. Made only good experiences. Dropping off parking is free for 15 min.
Great airport simple to use, picked up my eucarhire rental car just outside
Great little airport. Best to eat before going airside if you want a big meal (the 1st floor Oberweis brasserie) or to work with a power socket (ground floor Oberweis cafe shop). Great free WiFi speed too.
Small but very well organized. Never stuck in the lines for more then 5 minutes. Security check fast and efficient.
