From small to tiny lakes, surrounded by conifers. That is the first thing that comes into my mind when I think about Verkiai Regional Park. A beautiful forest with lots of paths for hiking, cycling, skiing, walking pets, etc.
For those who are interested in tourist attractions, Verkiai Palace Park is a place to visit. Walking paths lead to the observation deck where you can see panorama of the river Neris. At the very end there are stairs down the hill to the old mill.
Verkiai Regional Park could be a gem if only cyclists were more welcome here. Unfortunately, cycling paths by the road require reconstruction ASAP. They are old and full of cracks, very unpleasant to ride. There are also no proper connections to the neighbouring settlements, such as Gulbinai. A long continuous path connecting all the villages and settlements would be perfect.response / report this review -

Very nice place for a walk, run, bike with nature trails. Not disabled friendly though. Usually it's not too crowded because park is outside of city center.

Relaxing place in the city, it is good to be in the surounding of nature, it's a good place to walk, cickle or just spent quality time.

Important info: If you're planing to hike around the Gulbinas lake, it is not allowed to walk on the west side of the lake due to fragile flora. Can only walk on the east side of the lake.response / report this review -

Nice park! although limited attractions beyond staring at a (not so) green lake, and the (Very) green Forrest. there is a small and surprisingly good tiny restaurant ( try the Georgian soup!) but the guy who rents boats or bicycles wan nowhere to be found in a half rainy august day.

The lake there is absolutely beautiful, you can swim and do rowing as well as play vollyball and have a bbq. Great spot to relax and enjoy the view by taking some photos.

It's a place where I used to come very often to contemplate and think. Also to photograph. Down the hill there is a restaurant as well. And of course, very beautiful scenery opens from observation desk.
