Big almost empty place, at least after renovation u can walk trough concrete walkabouts, not like before, after rain needed avoid this place cause of quicksand
For now it looks to me too artificial, like made with autocad. Thats strange feeling, like you were in computer model. The grass is made from those squares and there are no flowers.
Chill. Relax. Great place to have coffee/walk/play with kids when it's sunny day:)
The square was recently renovated and reopened to the public. There will a monument build later on. What kind of monument or when - it is currently unknown. At the moment try to enjoy a simple walk in the square.
Recently opened after major reconstruction. One of the major squares of Vilnius. Hot debates are going on what kind of monument should be built in the center.
Lukiškės Square is the largest square (about 4 ha) in Vilnius, located in the center of the city. It is surrounded by many public buildings, including Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign affairs, Appeals Court, Academy of Music and Theater, Church of St. James and St. Phillip, Dominican Monastery with former St. Jacob Hospital. Currently the city of Vilnius holds a contest to redesign the square.
After reconstruction, square became more walkable with paths designed perfectly!
Good after the renovation. Should be beautiful in lste spring.
Patriot hub. Was a nice park, will be ridiculous jerk 0ff to nationalists.
now its closed, but its being restored
Waiting for the reconstruction to finish - has become a not so good meeting place due to lack of a clear meeting point (the fences instead of the center!)
Nice park in the heart of the city. Currently closed for renovations
Great square to sit and read book in the middle of city
It's basically a big sandy square with some grass in sides. Cool for people to relax and such. Also cool buildings around so you can walk throu it to experience some of old town.
