Good, silent place near the main street in Palanga. Simple, but generous breakfast. Not too elaborate, but affordable lunch. Restaurant could accept payment cards though. Service is approachable they can stick to your schedule if you're with kids, which is important due to naps etc.

Stayed for 3 nights in a double suite with living area and balcony. The hotel is very clean, 24h front desk and the staff quite professional. The photos of the pool and sauna area are very misrepresentative. They are quite cramped and fill up quickly until the area closes at midday. The parking was appreciated, the barrier system could be better. The massage spa is very nice and the people are very professional. Overall a good stay and worth the money.

NOT a 4-star hotel at all. I would give it 3 stars, but I stayed in 3 star hotel in Vilnius a night before (comfort hotel) and it was much nicer than Alka, so Alka deserves 2 stars at most. Our rooms were not ready on time, breakfast is questionable, room facilities are very poor with small bad TV showing bad quality videos, balcony with the view for which we had to pay extra are shabby, the view is laughable (could pay not to have this view), exterior of the hotel is very USSR like and needs renovation, etc For cheaper you can stay in hotel Gradiali - a true 4 star hotel
