We went there with student tickets so it costs only 1.5 euros. I would say it worth the price, the exhibitions are nice and in the top of the building is the view tower from where you can get a nice and close view for the city and the red tower, because we couldn’t make to the red tower due to the reconstruction. Remember to take elevator to the view tower, otherwise there are quite many stairs.

It's a good musesum, and offers a good value for the entry price. Friendly staff. Can easily spend a couple of hours here learning about Lithuanian History.

Interesting museum of ethnography and antiquaries. Impressive the reconstruction of the battle of Grumwald. A big collection of items important to understand Lithuania's history (place is quite cold during winter, I suggest to keep your coat on).

It was just really too small and boring for the central museum of Vilnius. Recommended for a short visit with foreigners not from Europe, they find it exotic and interesting.
For Europeans nothing to see.

I spent a couple of hours here and really enjoyed it! It's a great way to learn about Lithuanian history and see ancient artifacts. The museum is beautifully created inside the palace and there are parts of the original building visible and well explained in a English and Lithuanian. The observation deck provides beautiful views of the city. It's well worth your time to visit this museum !

Not a huge range of exhibits and lacking much in the way of narrative to tie the sometimes random collection objects together. Did have a few nice pieces nonetheless. And it didn't cost much or take long.

Definitely worth the visit (entrance fee is only 2€) as you can gather most of the history of Lithuania. Situated on 2 floors it has also some interactive totems where you can gather more information.

Most of expositions do not change for decades (there is one, which I remember from two decades ago). You are not allowed to photograph (even with a phone).
I love history museums, but I'm feeling shame for this one.
You'd better visit Palace of the Grand Dukes nearby.

It was just a quick visit up the funicular railway to the tower to look down on most of Vilnius. Just €1 to take the railway but then €4 to go up the tower. Great view and probably lots of interesting things in the museum, just didn't have the time.

Very worth a visit even if just for the view.
