One of best place i have visited.there are few types of accommodations.Called eagle's view, eagle' nest and eagle's lodge.tasty foods, beautiful panoramic views, natural spring water pools, hiking to worlds end and kindly service of staff. Road (1.5km) is bit bad for lower ground vehicles and no wifi, poor signal streanth too.
Access road is quite difficult to vehicles with low ground clearance. However when you climb to the top the effort is well paid. The view is something you'd die for !! food is delicious. reasonable prices. friendly crew. Washrooms are equipped with Hot water but no room heaters and no water heaters. Overall facilities in rooms are quite disappointing. Recommended for a hicking crew or nature lovers, not for a family.
Very nice view with misty green mountains in the morning and most of the times of the day.. relaxing and peaceful place for stay..Â
Horton Plains is a beautiful, silent, strange world with some excellent hikes in the shadows of Sri Lanka’s second- and third-highest mountains, Kirigalpotta (2395m) and Totapola (2359m).
The early morning (between 6.00 am and 10.00 am) is the best time to visit, before the clouds roll in. Within January to March whether is clearest.
Nice place to visit. There is a trai starting from here to Word's End.
Great deal for the price. Can't expect more than that.
The route was bit difficult when we went there last December. Still i manged to reach by car (Belta) with 4 people on board. But will suggest a vehicle with more ground clearance.
Food was excellent and nothing to blame about the service.
Again for the price tag, it's a good deal.
I highly recommend to select this place to stay relaxed for a few days. Very friendly staff and very delicious food. A great panoramic view. Many things to do Climbing, Hiking, Swimming etc. I love the freezing swimming pool.
Access road is not very good. It is ok for a car or a van. Can manage with a mini bus. but no excuses for buses. Better visiting there in November or December
