Well worth the visit. For 450 rupees, you get a really informative talk about the tea picking, different grades of tea, way their teas are made, the types of teas and the chemistry behind the colour, strength, quality and taste. You get a tour of the facilities and the process of making the tea for sale. You get to taste some tea and buy good quality tea at a very low price.
Good place to get explained all about tea.
Nice shop and very cheap prices for tea
I recommend their restaurant down in Ella
Very good tour guide. Unfortunately not all of the production steps were in operation when we went.
Great place, loved the tour - the guide was really passionate about tea production, I learned a lot from him. Tea is cheaper than in town. Definitely worth visiting.
Great tea factory, friendly guides and currently in the process of being turned into a big tourist attraction
good explanation and shop. you see authentic machinery and it is nice. good service and as usual in sri lanka, staff friendly
Tour is definitely worth checking out. We learnt so much about tea. It's more interesting than you think (I was skeptical about going). Our guide was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Tour is cheap but they try hard to make you buy overpriced tea from their shop at the end of the tour.
We had extremely good guide, spoke with passion.
Great place to learn about tea production. Definitely recommend going in the morning to see everything. By the afternoon, they tend to only run a few machines. Entrance fee is 450Rs. per person. Free tea sampling afterwards and a tea shop with decent priced teas. Got a 250g bag of Pekoe tea for 700Rs.
A good place when you want to learn something about the tea production. We were here in the afternoon in the second half of October and that day production finished at 8:30 am. We had only a guided excursion in the empty factory (450 lkr per person) and it was really worth it. Our guide was very kind, spoke very good English and answered all our questions. At the end we had the tea tasting and bought a lot of tea as souvenirs (600 lkr per 100 g).
Can visit the factory with a guide from the factory itself. Good experience for kids. Can taste different types of tea there. Also has a nice view.
We'll worth the time and money. In depth explanations of the process. Our tour guide Rajha is very knowledgeable and kind. Don't hesitate!
Loved it, Roga (guide) and Sithara were very friendly and Roga was extremely informed and passionate about the process. Would recommend.
Best Tea factory and also great tour for understanding tea tour.
Good toorist place
Wonderful factory
Nice tour. A bit rushed but very informative
Далеко, выбор есть, в основном чай с добавками. Цены в разы выше, чем на сайте
