Buffet and a la carte are lovely. Service is great, waiters very attentive. One down side is table allocation. As guests mainly opt for buffet, waiters can get confused as to whether the table is vacant or being used.

Good location. Beautiful beach. Rooms are a bit old but nice and clean. Receptionist had some attitude but overall lovely stay. No accommodation for the driver.

Best food in bentota, hands down. We tried all the top rated restaurants in bentota and still the buffé at the palms beat them all hands down. It's expensive, 3000 for buffé, 2500 or more for most dishes but the chefs are excellent, it was hard finding a dish not prepared excellently even on the buffet. Also big props for the chefs and some of the Waiters, absolutely the friendliest people we meet during our visit in Sri Lanka. Would recommend anyone, even if not from the Vivanta hotel, to visit the palms for a lunch or dinner (breakfast is great as well, don't miss the waffles!)

We came to eat here as a stop on our journey & were disappointed. Whilst the view is lovely. We order three items on a day with a little amount of people in the restaurant. After 40 minutes nothing had come, so we left.
