A very nice hostel centrally located in Arugam Bay.It's very popular so you may want to book ahead and I am someone who hates booking ahead. The rooms are comfortable and clean with really good bathrooms. 1 thing is none of the toilets have toilet roll which is a policy they have so bring some or get it in the shops. You can rent surfing boards and buy beers. There is a great cheap restaurant directly across the road and the buses to Pottuvil and beyond stop right aside. In the evening people tend to gather around a big desk to socialise, drink and usually head out. 1 night 10-15 of us got some taxis and went to Whisky Point. It's pretty much the ideal hostel for a solo backpacker like myself. I'd highly recommend.

A very clean and indeed a very long hostel. Somewhat sterile atmosphere. Positioned around the bend of the main strip. No beach access. In a not so ideal location. No license. So no drinks available. Said to be for sale in 2018

Rooms are super clean and the best thing is that you are really close to the beach, the staff is really nice. Tasty foods. We will come again.

Outstanding hostel! Great place for solo travellers. You have everything you need. Excellent location 1 min for the beach and at the main street of Arugam bay but at the quieter end. Two good local places to eat are just next door. The room was spotless clean, with huge lockers provided. You get a hot shower and AC for the price you wouldn't get elsewhere in Arugam Bay. For breakfast ask for the pancakes and cappucino - the best brekfast I had during my Sri Lanka trip! The owner Harold is a very friendly and outgoing person, he makes sure you get what you ask for. The hostel has a good vibe and it is easy to meet other travellers. Definitely a YES!

The best hostel I've ever been in Sri Lanka. I can recommend for people who want private - air-conditioned - rooms with attached bathroom, hot water shower and also to backpackers. The dorms are very exceptional, the lockers are huge and the vibes there are amazing. The 4-bed-dorms are also air-conditioned and have a separate bathroom. Breakfast and dinner are so delicious. Cannot be better!

Favourite hostel in Sri Lanka. Most others on the island are rubbish but this one would hold its own anywhere in the world.
Harold, his wife and team are the most friendly and accommodating owners. Hostel is only 1 year old and looks immaculate. Clean, safe, good food, well located for beach and amenities. Couldn't recommend it high enough.
Owners dog will definitely try to hump your leg and the bum guns are very powerful. This may just make your stay even better though. Depends what floats your boat.response / report this review -

Absolute awesome hostel. Everything is super clean and well maintained. The food and coffee is really good as well. But the owners make this hostel extraordinary. They are always their to help and have so many interesting stories to tell.
