Harvest Rest is owned and operated by the co-operative association of Sri Lanka Postal and Telecommunication department. It is in a central location where one can easily access banks, super markets, food stalls, and the Kataragama temple.

The key reason for me and my mother to give this venue a 5 star rating is the friendly, caring, and attentive staff Lakshan Weligamage and Ashoka Wanniarachchi.They had worked hard to keep the rooms very clean. And they always welcome us with friendly smiles, and guided us with local knowledge. Further, the place has sufficient security even for some ladies to stay on their own.

However, if it weren't for the staff and security, I would give this venue either 3 stars or less. The place has massive potential, but looking at the competition, it's fascilities, and look and feel doesn't justify the price.
