Very friendly staff with very good hospitality. A great hotel. "The company has invested Rs. 400 million to open The Blue Wave Hotel in Arugam Bay. The hotel offers 30 rooms including suites. The hotel is located at the beginning of the bay area, on the land side which is 100 meters from the beachside close to the surf point. The hotel has confirmed bookings from guests from Europe, Asia and Middle Eastern countries for the high season.

The Blue Wave Hotel Arugam Bay fills a major void for high end accommodation for the area which was a great need as tourist accommodation in the area was mostly limited to small hotels and guesthouses.

Very good value for money. Brand new hotel. Nice pool. Beautiful and quiet rooms. Parking on site. Close to restaurants and shops. The beach is 2 minutes walking.

My experience at The Blue Wave Hotel in Arugam Bay was really amazing. The customer serviCe is really good. All staff members are kind and has a smile on their faces. Full course meal and buffet, the food is really great. It just takes a couple of minutes to walk to the beach.

I holidayed at this Hotel recently the staff was friendly but I must say that the food was below basic standard, Arugambay is located on the coast, and I was looking forward to having prawns and crabs and when I complain I was provided with a dish of curried prawns the smallest I have seen in my life and furthermore I had to pay for it before I left. I previously complained to Mr Van Dort to no avail. If this is your way of cost cutting I advise travellers to thing twice staying here. Tony

At last. They realized that Arugam Bay is different than other places.
Cool swimming pool and Trace /Techno Parties attract AbaY visitors!
Otherwise many guests observe that the entire hotel seems to face the opposite direction.
People come to a tropical island. And specially to Arugam Bay. To see the Blue Wave in the Ocean. Not garden or Jungle views

The staff is extremely personable, considerate and pleasing to their guests. Excellent food and spa facilities. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Even better, the hotel is located in the best little surf town on the list of the top surf points in the world. An amazing hotel, we would definitely stay at the Blue Wave again.

Better than expected. Stays true to what other reviews have said. Needs a room service menu. Staff needs to be a bit more pleasant. All in all a good place for a short stay.

This was our 1st visit to the bluewave and it blows me away just how good they are at looking after people. The attention to detail and quality service is second to none. Right from being collected from the airport in a comfortable car with a safe driver, I know we can start to relax and unwind immediately. This was the perfect place for the vacation!

We were welcomed with a fresh juice and directed to the reception, where the check-in process was completed swiftly by very friendly receptionist and almost immediately, we were directed to the inter-connected double rooms that were reserved.

The rooms were neat and fully-equipped and felt very relaxing.
Talking about the food, Job well done Chef! Our taste buds were carried away making us forget our normal diet limits.

Never expected such a classy hotel in Arugam Bay, which had all in-house facilities to keep us occupied.
