They no longer allow you to bring in laptops or charging banks, but the security guards were very nice and apologetic when they turned me away. They just need to update the information on their website.

American center in Sri Lanka serves us in various ways. Especially I love the library facility they provided. Massive, quality collection of books and dvd's are available in the library in diversified subjets and fields.
Also monthly movie screening sessions are pretty interesting.

A great resourceful place to visit. Staff from the security check point onwards are really helpful and pleasant. Anyhow the security measures are quite strict here. It's kinda like boarding into a plane. Just follow their instructions and you'll be fine. Altogether a great place.

It's a very good environment there. Actually I try my level best to visit the library atleast twice a month. The books and the other resource materials are absolutely useful. Pleasant instructors too.

But the procedures to check in has to be approached differently because it's very time consuming.

It's a good library. But please have electronic card system for checking in and entry. Takes a long time to enter with all checking ID cards n stuff.

The collection of books at American Center is what i like most. They have a great collection of Documentaries & movies on reference purpose. When you become a member you will gain access to all of these plus invitations for events done by great personalities both foreign & local.

This is managed by the American Embassy in Sri Lanka. There are many security guidelines to enter and might take up to 15 minutes to clear through the entrance. Has a great collection of books and magazines in the library. You can read them for free and the membership allows you to borrow books and participate in events organized by the American Centre.
