Great place to have a cold beer, chill out and enjoy a good evening. Plus the food is good. for a chillax highly recommended.

PS : Avoid this place if you want to get ripped off, a small can of Lion Lager costs LKR 350.00 + 10% Service Charge, after the government reduced the prices of Beer. Also most of the time they don't have Beer Towers.

This was a decent dinner experience, but not one of our favorite meals in Galle. I ordered pork chops and got a few pork ribs, I ordered a beer (it’s a tap house, after all) and they said they only had small cans (but they have a TAP), and unlike most other restaurants in the area, they add 10% service charges AND tax onto the total, whereas you usually just pay the price on the menu. The food wasn’t bad, but you can get a much better experience at Pedlar’s Cafe or some other place nearby.

Good Food, good Beer, good Liqueur, good Service. Portions are a little small though. Price is above average, without being too overpriced.
BUT.
Every price is WITHOUT tax and Service charge, so you will need to add a good 23% to every Price on the menu. Why anyone would do such a retarded thing and not just write the price they ask is beyond me

My husband and I visited here for dinner. We sat outside and had the worst service. There was only one server working so we understand him having a difficult time keeping up with 12 tables outside plus tables on the inside as well, however there were 2 managers standing around literally doing nothing. They didn't help clear tables, take orders, serve food, serve drinks, nothing. Food was decent. Management and organization terrible.

Nice up-scale place where you can relax for long time with beer. There is ample place inside and outside to relax. The best time is to visit in the evening to enjoy pleasant sea breeze. There are not many vegetarian options though. The food was tasty. We had ordered Chicken Burgers and Pasta cooked in Coconut Milk. The food was delivered relatively quickly. The burgers tasted good and pasta tasted different but tasty. Definitely a recommendable place if one wants to hang-out for longer durations close-by sea.

Nice place to sit outdoors and enjoy a drink. Good customer serrvice. Eats are good. Overall the place has a relaxing atmosphere. Prices are on the heavy side.

Nice enough decor for a chain/corporate bar but within the music is too loud for conversation, which probably explains why everyone is outside.

Very friendly (but underworked) staff. Popped in at lunchtime to get information about dinner but was ignored, so left again.

Dinner experience: Shame the prices for food and drink are ridiculous. 6,500Rs for two appetisers, 1 small pasta main and 4 drinks!!! Didn't bother getting the beer at 650Rs for a can which costs 120 at the wine shop.

Taphouse offers a wide choice of drinks 🍹 and some good snacks. The pub looks nice both inside and outside. 🏣 There's a Jukebox form which you can choose a song to be played inside the room. 🎧 The outside seatings are not so comfortable, but they're located in a nice place, near the fort walls. 🏰 Nothing to say about the waiters.

It seems, they are not listening to other reviewers six months back, I now see they don't serve draught beer, but only cans. 450rs plus service charge and tax for a small 330ml can! A TOTAL rip off! Need a drink with meal so asked waiter for a bottle of water. Guess what, they don't serve water or don't have any, and the waiter wanted me to drink chemical drinks like soft drinks. I told him I do not drink them, but only drink natural products. So I upped and left. Taphouse at Colombo Fort are the best, they have three draughts and their staff are superb, yes they serve water too. If you, a tap beer drinker, forget this one and go to Colombo. Totally disappointed.
