St. Sebastian's Shrine Kandana is a shrine which holds a historical value. This church is dedicated to St. Sebastian who was a war hero as well as a saint who is known for curing diseases. This church holds historical stories about the miracles of St. Sebastian. And this shrine has a relic of St. Sebastian which is worshiped by hundreds of people all over the country for their strong belief to St. Sebastian. As a saint who is known for curing diseases, this shrine has a separate bathing pools for both male and female pilgrims to wash themselves with the belief that when you wash with this holy waters the diseases within you will go off in the holy blessings of St. Sebastian. A mission house of priests situated in the back of the church are always looking forward to help and guide the pilgrims towards god in blessings, conversations and many other services. To the left there is the 'Sanctus' which is a church that holds the Holy Eucharist is a mind calming and a relaxing place for the pilgrims who wish to develop their spiritual life. A church which runs along for over 150 years is a miraculous place among the pilgrims who visit this place in hundreds daily.

A miraculous religious place. Most people visit here for healing and asking help from st.Sebastian. Most of them believe that their wishes come true. I am having my own experience on this place. January 21st is the church festival day. Most people visiting the church on Mondays and Thursdays. Thursday is known to be the day for st.Sebastian

A good church and the environment.

I used to love the place because of its environment and the size of the church.
But my recent visit to the church made bit sad due to its development. I feel too much concrete structures and artificial things are over taking the natural beauty of church and its surroundings.
