Located in Rathmalana and home for many old aircraft used by Royal Airforce and SLAF. If you are passionate to aviation you should visit this place. Agents fron SLAF are waiting to educate you about the related stuffs and the open area with the parked aircraft has been a popular place for wedding photo shoots and pre-shoots.

Plenty of aircrafts dismantled and in their real forms. Specially a must visit place for students for their educational purposes. The history of the Sri Lanka Air Force is well elaborated. Exhibit items are orderly displayed. They have a stimulator unit too where the visitors can get a real airborne experience.

A well done museum and maintained beautifully. Lots of interesting varieties of aircrafts and helicopters. I felt it was quite expensive for foreigners. Worth a visit.

Many things and places to see around the museum and it has a flight simulator to experience what it is like to travel in a flight. The Ratmalana Airport is visible to the museum. You will be able to see helicopters a blend many more flights landing and taking off in the airport.

Great Place. You can see various kind of Planes , Helicopters , Other vehicles and Plane parts. And you can go inside of Planes and Plane control rooms. Friendly Staff.

"Where the Past Lives on"
The place lives up to its motto not just in maintaining a tribute to the Sri Lanka Air Force, but also to many rare/classic aircraft and a whole host of support services of Sri Lankan aviation.
It takes about 1 hour to cover the whole museum, 2 hours if you really get into it.. A lot of the exhibits are in the open, so be mindful of the local weather. On a sunny day, the best time to visit is in the early hours of the day, or after 3pm.
It's open from 08:30 am to 05:30 pm, but it's better to call beforehand to confirm.
Tickets are priced as follows (in LKR),
Adults - 100
Children - 50
School children (in uniform) - 20
Foreigners - 10 USD (Not entirely sure about that though)response / report this review -
