You get a different spread of bakery items. Cake is very delicious. A little expensive but good and guaranteed stuff. Good place to order for a corporate function. Avoid 11am-2pm as it is very crowded.
Best time to go there is early morning as they have limited car park facility.
Minus thing is no big proper bags to carry cake comfortably. That's really annoying.

Good place for a hangout or a business meeting. They have some of the best cakes in Colombo and the food is just awesome. I didn't have a single complain about anything. From security to service staff everyone was on point and helpful. For the premium price the quality you get is completely worth your money. I've had business chats over lunch and everything tea many times and will be going in he future too.

Good quality stuff, customized birthday cakes available. Manageable parking space available in front of the shop. You have to search the place carefully on the road since there is no prominent signage.

It's been an amazing place for a good breakfast or a small snack. Been going there since I was a kid. Flavor and tastes have remained the same. One of Colombo best pastry shops.

Staff are extremely helpful and polite. My little one spilled her drink, but they happily cleaned it up. Also answered our many questions patiently as we selected items for a birthday party.

Great selection of freshly baked pastries, cakes, and other confections. I asked for a sampling of their marzipan and it was given without a fuss, and promptly forgotten. I had to ask them to bill me.

A long trusted name, who have managed to maintain their reputation for great food and great service.

This is the only place I use to go for food. Excellent and very tasty food. But I have to say it's little bit expensive to offer many people. You have to consider that.

This was a bit of a wait but the cake was very good for approximately 3000 LKR. They even wrote the birthday message we wanted on the cake for free. It was in comparison a quick visit and the chocolate brownies are great too.

Sponge never fails to satisfy that unjust pallet every Sri Lankan has and never fails to satisfy those cravings for those mouth watering pastries and scrumptious cakes.

I do have to say compared to what sponge used to be it has come down in quality a bit over the years, but for my generation and the previous generations it will always be that pastry shop to go to, whenever we want to take our taste buds down memory lane and into our childhood given sponge has been serving the citizens of Sri Lanka since 1985.

Always a place to go to, just to refresh those taste buds from your childhood.

Sponge has a great location. Limited parking. The have a great selection of desserts and Sri Lankan pastries and short eats.
Their service is good.
Overall, sponge is great and worth a visit.

Been around for more than 25years, food quality has been maintained. Always ask for the homemade sauce when having short eats. Rs. 300-500/- per head
