Be careful, almost a scam! The quick tour you are given first is quite interesting, afterwards you are offered a 'free' 10-min. neck massage from ayuverdic students. Or so they tell you. Of course you feel obliged to give them a good tip. After the massage, you are given a list of the products they offer - without prices. Finally they show you the pharmacy sales room where you are being pushed into buying the products: overpriced and no single items available. I cannot judge if the products are good but if you are not careful, you end up spending a lot of money here.

On the main road of Dambulla - Kandy. Friendly staff and good stuff of Aurwedict medicinal products. Explanation is free about Sri Lanka herbal plants and their medicinal usage. Explanation is about our ancient medicinal system and the usage and effect of different medicinal plants with human sicknesses.

The guide to the spice garden was well educated and knowledgeble. But I strongly dislike this and other spice garden's method of giving a list without prices and trying to get you commit to purchase sight unseen. The guide was so intense in wanting me to buy, and I would have liked to buy a two or three items. But the items were only packaged in 8-packs which commanded a hefty price. I think they could make more if they sold singles. Who wants to spend more than $100 on a remedy that might not be effective for you personally? Very good Sri Lankan lunch buffet behind the spice garden area.
