I only stayed one night as I wanted to explore the local rain forest. This hostel location is stunning and the hospitality is superb. I really enjoyed the food and the rain forest tour. I feel very lucky to have experienced this place and its people. I would like to return some day and stay longer.

Only the forest beautiful so they take the advantage themselves,high price..around there no any restaurant ypu ush eat their restaurant ..anything so they are serving the food with they own price and manage trip they own price..change money to srilanka currency with they own rate. . everything is so high price and so bad quality but no chance even you can not use your mobile..no signal only they have one phone themselves which not let you to call other place to eat or local managed trip.

One of the Best places I've ever been. They were really helpful. we wanted to have our own bbq, and they were kind enough to let us use their kitchen so that we could get our work done. They provided us with everything we needed without hesitation and we did not have a single worry.. when we had no idea how to go for trekking in the forest, they helped us find a guide. A place where local tourists are treated equally as foreigners. Even though we were disconnected from the outer world, the beauty of the place, the AWESOME food, the heartwarming people filled the void. Totally RECOMMEND the place..!!!!

That was the best service we have ever had! They were supper cool and very professional! Even when we asked them we want to trek into the forest at the last moment they were very helpful to find a guide and arrange the trek for us. We never expected such a help! When it come to their meals, I should say that, we really loved it! That was so delicious and very clean. They were not like most of the local resorts who serve very well to tourists but don't care much about Sri Lankans. We stayed there very comfortable and I personally grateful to Sinharaja hostel for making our staying there so much wonderful. The money you spent there is totally worth it! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who need to have a relaxing vacation by disconnecting from the outside world. That was an lovey experience! Thank you, guys!

I loved this place, definitely recommended if you're a nature lover. The owner and his wife were super nice the whole time. You have to take a tuk from Daniyaya on a dodgy road (1000 rs), but then there's a free ride organized by the hostel. The place is clean, comfortable and everyone is really welcoming. Their restaurant is cozy and the dishes are amazing. They can organize you guided tours from the hostel -short tour is 25$ and about 4 hours, long tour is 35$ and 6 hours, both including lunch. They provide you water and socks against leeches. The jungle is beautiful and if you're lucky, you can catch exotic birds, lizards, snakes, spiders and giant squirrels, also swim under a waterfall. All in all it worth a day or to to be a little disconnected to the world and enjoy the beauty of nature.

This place is simply amazing. Stayed in the deluxe room for two days and loved every second. The view is exceptional, the service very friendly and the room just perfect. Also booked a rainforest tour via them. Highly recommend it.
