A nice quiet place of worship and meditation in the heart of Colombo town. A more of touristy place than a temple, it is still a place to come for quiet contemplation. Being across the road from the famous Gangarama Viharaya, makes it a convenient stop if you're coming to worship at the main temple.

Good place for meditation. Nice view and entrance is charged. If you have been to the near by gangaramaya buddhist temple you can use the same ticket and no need to buy another.

It's a very beautiful temple in very busy city Colombo. Nice surrounding and it is a great place because of the lake. temple is situated on the lake.Many beautiful statues of Lord Buddha can see inside the temple.

Its a beautiful temple. But its mostly a tourist attraction both for local and foreign. The runes are not in a good shape but they are still surviving. So if you are looking for a temple for worshiping you should look else where or go to Gangarama Temple nearby.

A beautiful temple in the heart of the city. Foreigners must purchase an entry ticket for US$2 or LKR300 but this also gives access to Gangaramaya Temple a short walk away. Shoes must come off and be left before climbing the steps to the temple but be careful not to cook your feet on the wooden floorboards on hot days.

The place is quiet and picturesque. The entry fee is a bit on the higher side, given that the place is not much large and the time needed to see the place won't exceed 15 minutes.

It's a beautiful Buddhist temple right in the middle of the city. One the main tourist attraction in Colombo. The temple is in Lake. Apart from temple there is a little island in lake, small suspension bridge will take you to this island. Quite place in the middle of the capital city Colombo.

It is recommandable to visit at night. The temple among the lake has a wonderful harmony with lights which are hung around each edge of three temple buildings. And their shape on the lake shined by lights presents a grand sight. Don't forget holding the allowance of Rs 300 in your pocket as of Nov. 2017, if you are a foreigner.

One of the most attractive place in middle of the city. Such an amazing place on bere lake. Mind peaceful place with peaceful environment. Nice architecture design and worth to visit. Festival time its glows on the lake like as a heaven.

Very simple temple in the middle of the lake keep your ticket so you can visit the nearby Gangaramaya temple as well. It's SLR300 ticket for tourists
