This is a beautiful hotel located at Anuradhapura town at the Rowing club road, around 1.5 km away from the city centre. Rajarat hotel is well maintained and clean. It has a beautiful landscaped back yard. Staff is friendly. Specially the manager is really keen on providing the best customer service. Meals are tasty and not costly.

One of the great hotels. Located at a convenient place and easy to reach. From reception good service. We wanted to change some rooms and they did without a problem. Food was good and tasty at the buffet. Facilities I'm the rooms are also very good. Choices for the breakfast was also good with a western and local combination.

Staff warmly welcomed us when we stepped into the hotel. We were offered with a welcome drink and the formalities of the check-in process. Room was clean and had ample space and lighting.
Rooms are separated with brick walls (permanent) so there were no outside noise disturbances.
Has a large 6ft. swimming pool with always on duty swimming guard. Has a bar, and the breakfast at Tranquil Restaurant I would rate as the best Sri Lankan breakfast I ever had especially due to the vast variety of selection and the action station which offers omelettes, sausages etc.
Restaurant staff were attentive, helpful and welcoming.
Checkout process was fast and simple. Overall a great stay at Anuradhapura.response / report this review -

We had a great welcome and did enjoy stay in Rajarata hotel as usual .Rated as excellent. Great place, every staff in the hotel is very courteous, helping, smiling and ready to help and assist. Good food. We will definitely visit again.

Conveniently located, not so far from the eight sacred places (අටමස්ථානය). Staff is welcoming, friendly and provided an efficient service. Decent range of delicacies for the buffet. Fairly spacious rooms and the pool is well maintained and properly scaled. Overall, the experience is absolutely worth the cost. Undoubtedly one of the best hotels in the sacred city. Highly recommended.

We were here for one night. Food quality and service standards are very high. There was a small mishap during my stay, but they refunded me for that and went out of their way to try and rectify the situation.

Requested for Full Payment at Check-in. Explained to the staff that I had stayed in the Hotel on 2 previous occasions and did not do so then. Since they demanded, I had to pay the balance for the room charges upfront. May I suggest a 50% would be a more Civilised request or if they insist, the Customer be informed beforehand of this unfriendly requirements (may be at the time Booking is Confirmed) so that Customer will not feel a Rogue or a Crook when checking-in

Dislikes: thin walls, and bad acoustics allowed me to hear the unlocking of other rooms' doors (the little whizzing of the electric motor) and waking me up at 6:15 because a group of people were talking in the lobby. I was not on the same floor as the lobby. My complaint about this the next morning was simply acknowledged with a shrug. Breakfast and dinner were OK, but the supply of toilet paper was a surprise, I've never gotten just 20% of a roll in total.
