Be very careful when dealing with any gem shop in colombo, same apply here where sales would tell any lie to sell their stones. Bargain is highly essential sometimes the price given is 5 times more than the original price. However trust is high in this place regards to the authenticity of the stone and how much the sales people lie the certification department would not hence make sure you always compare the characteristic in the certificate to what the sales person informed you.

lots of hand-made products can be found here that somewhere else doesn't. the young shop assistance was nice and he could even speak a little Chinese(strange, isn't it?) but the problem is that we think everything in this shop is overpriced. and you now what, actually it was a scam that took us to this shop, a guy on the street who told us he was a police and took us there and said it was a gov shopping center, the best one in Colombo. we believed him so we got cheated and fell into a tourist trap. finally this fake police asked us 400RMB for the tutu fare, isn't it crazy?
