My husband purchased a sapphire ring for me from this company for which we paid roughly $15,000. They claimed that the sapphire was not heat treated. (If it were heat treated it would be worth substantially less.) We discussed the fact that we'd have it professionally appraised when we returned home. We took it to a professional appraiser who sent it to a lab to determine whether or not it had been heat treated. The professional appraiser said the cost of replacing the ring at a fine jewelry store in San Francisco would be about $9,000--not the $15,000 we were charged.. The lab said the sapphire had been heat treated to improve the color of the stone. As a result, the professional appraiser said the cost of replacing the ring at a top jewelry store in San Francisco would be about $9,000--not the $15,000 we were charged. We sent all the information to Pemadasas. They asked for more information which we forwarded also. We now cannot even get any reply from them. I would strongly recommend not buying anything from this company since they musrepresented their product and when confronted with the misrepresentation will not respond to emails..
