Very good local food. Inexpensive. Friendly, if slow, service - very busy night, though.
The food is really tasty and inexpensive. The staff are so understanding and kind..not to mention downright generous. We exclusively ate here during our entire stay and absolutely enjoyed every single minute of it here. Don't get fooled by the way! Its run by identical twins!!
Good hotel near Sigiriya, can get delicious foods in affordable price,
but they give high priority to the foreigners
Like many restaurants nearby it is not very expensive. A curry consisting of 4 dishes plus pupadoms and rice costs 450 rupees which is about £2.20. Service was good. I did however think that some of the curries could have hotter in temperature. Plenty of choice here for a vegetarian.
Delicious food,if you want eat like a local that one is good place, rice and curry, kottu roti,Somosa, pol(coconut)roti and more foods
Delicious food here! We had the traditional dish vegetable koththu rotti and vegetable daal. Both dishes were amazing, and seemed very healthy. Only slight complaint is the service was a little slow, and we asked for water which we didn’t receive but was added to our bill. However the restaurant was extremely busy at the time, and the food quality more than made up for this. If you visit Sigiriya you absolutely must eat here!
If you want classic homemade Sri Lankan curry definitely come here! Incredible value for money - chicken curry, rice, papadums + 5 veg curries for Rs. 450. Curry was a bit cold but that has been standard for me round SL and it tasted great regardless. Incredibly quick service and they brought me some free pineapple for afterwards! Tried other TripAdvisor recommendations in Sigiriya and this was my favourite
Best service and people of the Area!!🔝🔝 food really gopd and from Sri Lanka
A decent restaurant, comparable to all the restaurants nearby in terms of quality and cost.
Food offered is equivalent to what is offered in the nearby restaurants. We ordered veg rotti, egg noodles and veg noodles. Veg rotti which is a roti Patty with stuffed assortment of vegetables was decent, a bit oily though. It went well with coke. The veg noodles too was quite generous in servings and tasted decent. Overall nothing to complain.
Ambiance is decent enough. All kinds of writing on the walls from the past visitors.
This restaurant feels like it is "the little engin that could". Directly opposite Ahinsa restaurant, this place serves 8 tables maximum. We ordered the curry & roti, which was MORe than big enough for the two of us. The bathrooms were VERY rustic so prepare yourself, but what makes up for the bathroom is the staff and their personality. All they want to do is make sure you have a great meal. I hope this restaurant makes it! I will be back!
Little stopover after climbing the Rock Fortress. Pretty good sri lankan food, owner is nice too.
Good and cheap food + nice owners. Not the best atmosphere.
Great food and very cheap - rice with about 5 curry dishes was 300 rupees, delicious avocado and chicken salad 350 rupees. Mostly foreign tourists, nice atmosphere.
Friendly service & delicious meal
