What a lovely place with extremely hospitable and welcoming hosts. We enjoyed our stay every minute, the food was great, and their "little garden" full of spices and fruit left a lasting impression. One thing to notice though: the train line is very close by, and the first trains pass by very early in the morning, so if non-interrupted sleep is a priority, you might want to bring ear plugs. We're happy we've visited this lovely place and hope we can come back one day!

Plantation Retreat is tucked away in Kandy, just 400 m from Patanpaha Bus Stand. It welcomes guests with an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi access. Well-appointed rooms are cooled with air conditioning.
Rooms feature typical Sri Lankan-style décor. Amenities include a wardrobe and a TV with some rooms. There is also an en suite bathroom featuring hot-water showers and free toiletries.
At Plantation Retreat, you will find a peaceful garden and barbeque facilities. Other facilities include luggage storage and laundry facilities.
The retreat houses a restaurant that serves authentic Sri Lankan-style meals. Alternatively, meals can be served in the room with the help of room service.
