Both the best curry we had in Sri Lanka, and the most frustrating. It took over 2hrs from sitting down to getting our main courses, but thankfully we had read about the long waiting times from other reviews and we're prepared. However when it arrived, the food was fantastic - fresh, delicious, perfectly spiced. If youre prepared to wait and be very very patient, it's worth getting here early (6pm) and having some beers while you wait for your meal. Don't say I didn't warn you about the wait though!

Excellent curry and seafood but a 2 hour wait!!! We arrived at 6pm expecting the wait as had seen previous reviews, so sat back and had a few drinks- including some reasonable red/white wine. Fellow would-be diners arrived afterwards and evidently weren’t clued up on this, steam was coming out of their ears as they saw our food arrive and continued their wait, letting hunger anger take control. I do hope they stuck around long enough to finally enjoy the lovely food!

Very disappointing and overpriced. Hoppers and coconut roti which they claimed were made on the spot (home-style) is certainly not true, both items arrived cold and hard. It’s more like they’ve brought us something made the day before and didn’t even bother heating it up. The shape of the hoppers were wrong too, they were all flat. Avoid!

Very overrated and overpriced restaurant. Hoping to enjoy real good seafood it was a big disappointment. Especially claiming they are trying to do everything perfect and with quality. Grilled barracuda tasted more steamed than grilled. Served with soggy salad and caper mash was ok but still overdone (structure of glue..) salad nicolaise had some steamed vegetables and two (!!) anchovies. Mango chutney with shrimps looked more like Chinese sweet sour sauce with pieces of mango in it.. and smiling at stuff does not help.. you will get angry face back.. it was a waste of money and time..

Very good food, sympathetic service, affordable "tourist" prices and a nice walk by the beach. I recommend them!

The best seafood in the town. If are a seafood lover and visiting Tangalle, give this place a try. The fish was soft, colorful and just falling off to the touch. Highly recommend.

The food does take a little bit of time but worth it, it's not a fast food restaurant. Great portions of fresh fish which the owner will tell you about.

Worth a quick TukTuk drive over there

Nice place with a good view of the ocean and palm trees. We got a delicious curry, fruit lassies and a beer. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you have time go with a good book and enjoy a little reading time while waiting for the food.

Nice sea food and cozy atmosphere! The selection of non-sea food is not too large, but also tasty.
