The room was spacious and comfortable. Warm shower. Unfortunately the remote for our air conditioner did not work, so we were not able to change the temperature, but I’m sure they would have fixed that if we had asked.
The pool was wonderful. The breakfast plentiful.

Quaint old style resort. Nice rooms, friendly staff and a somewhat descent restaurant. There is no direct beach access, but though a path at the bottom of the garden you can go through the jungle, over a hill and come to a somewhat secluded “jungle beach” (about 40 mins vs 10 mins to normal beach)

The place is lovely and rooms are nice. The bathrooms are quite spacious. They also offer free Wi-Fi. You'd be hard pressed to find another place in same price range that offers similar quality.

Really nice, classy place. Pool doesn't have much light at night and the wifi didn't work in our room. Super conveniently close to the Unawatuna strip, 1 min walk from main road.

This place is all that I expected it to be and more. Very nice heritage place to stay with indoor and outdoor dining. They serve really delicious food, we had simple veg curry with rice and fish curry with rice, but food was super yummy. Probably our best meal in Unawatuna. The rooms are extremely clean and spacious. However, they definitely have a ant problem which may be attributed to the location and surrounding, but it's not an annoyance. Breakfast is sumptuous. We were there during off season hence there was no buffet. But it was an unlimited breakfast. There is also swimming with a beautiful green mountain view. About 7-10mins walk to the beach. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to all travellers how have a bit extra to spend. This is not a budget place.

Great ambience but about the worst service I've encountered. None of the staff even smile at you, let alone accommodate any request that's out of the ordinary. The breakfast buffet is paltry and the a-la-carte menu is a joke. The kitchen closes at 9:30 pm but this also means they are only willing to make you sandwiches after 9 pm. Never staying here again.

It's beautiful, simple. A historical govenors house from the Dutch times set in a vast garden abundant with tropical trees and flowers. Lots of birds and monkeys. Peace and quiet reigns. Good pool. Tenna minuts Walk to the beach.

A bit old fashioned but not without its charm. Wide range of breakfast and cosy rooms.
